The inaugural Cosplay @ PBAKL will be happening on June 2-4, from 10 AM-10 PM, and is organised by LOL Cosplay Malaysia and the Persatuan Kontraktor Buku Malaysia. The event will feature various activities and performances, such as anisong concerts, meet and greets with cosplayers and artists, daily lucky draws, and a slew of contests, including a solo skit cosplay competition, a kids cosplay competition, a doodle story competition, and so much more.
Cosplay @ PBAKL is one of the most-awaited events of the year and is seen as the largest comic and cosplay event in Malaysia, with an expected visitor turnout of more than 1.4 million.
There are a few guidelines that visitors must remember. As per organisers, visitors are not allowed to bring realistic guns nor wear ahegao T-shirts or hoodies. One must ask for permission before taking photos, and inappropriate behavior and harassment will not be tolerated. Visitors must also watch out for pickpockets and be mindful so as not to block walkways.
