A new development is set to rise near the capital city, as one of Thailand’s largest hotel companies, Dusit Hotels and Resorts, has inked a partnership with leading property developer Gamuda Land to manage its first hotel in Malaysia.

Called the ASAI Gamuda Cove, the soon-to-rise hotel marks Gamuda Land’s first hotel project. Through the Hotel Management Agreement signed by the two companies, the hotel will operate under Dusit’s lifestyle brand, ASAI Hotels.

This move aims to connect travellers and guests with authentic local experiences in the neigbourhood.

The hotel is slated to open in the first quarter of 2026, next to the marvellous Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands within Gamuda’s sustainable city, Gamuda Cove. It will be located near various residential and commercial establishments in the city, including the SplashMania Waterpark and Discovery Park, the Kuala Lumpur airport, and the city centre.

Like Dusit’s ASAI hotels in Bangkok and Kyoto, the hotel in Malaysia will be signed under the brand’s “ASAI Tropical” model, which features compact rooms, plush beds, infinity pools, and expanded event spaces, among other upgrades.

In a press release, Gilles Cretallaz, chief operating officer of Dusit International, commented on the partnership, stating, “We look forward to delivering a unique and unforgettable hotel experience that immerses guests in the diverse cultural tapestry of Malaysia and the natural beauty of the wetlands, all while contributing enduring value to our esteemed partners and the community we serve.”

The ASAI Gamuda Cove joins over 60 of Dusit’s hotels that are currently in the pipeline, plus its existing portfolio of 56 hotels in 19 countries.
