1950s Cinema-Inspired W Macau Studio City Opens on Sept. 8
Studio City will open a brand-new landmark on leisure hub Cotai Strip with the launch of W Macau – Studio City on Sept. 8.
Paying homage to the golden age of cinema, the 557-room hotel incorporates elements from Hollywood movies shot in Macau in the 1950s. The rooms and suites open to either the sweeping views of the city or the bustling Cotai Strip, each taking inspiration from cinematic references like props, theatres, and costumes.
W Macau commissioned award-winning firm Zaha Hadid Architects to design the property, with a focus on intertwining the former Portuguese colony’s illustrious heritage in a contemporary context.
The hotel houses four F&B concepts: Living Room, the main bar that combines cinematic and nautical heritage elements; Hawker Hawker, a three-meal period restaurant inspired by local marketplaces; Diva, a contemporary restaurant celebrating Canto cuisine; and Blind Tiger, its destination bar that serves innovative cocktails and spirits while flanked by stunning city views.
Interested guests may now book their room via W Macau - Studio City's website.
