80% of DepEd Personnel Vaccinated Against COVID-19

As the country continues to ramp up its vaccination efforts against COVID-19, the Department of Education (DepEd) announced on Feb. 4 that four out of five or 80.25% of its teaching and non-teaching personnel have already been vaccinated against the disease.

In its press release, DepEd said that the number of its vaccinated personnel is now at 779,002 out of 970,370 from field offices and schools throughout the country. The figure is 7.7% higher than the reported number from November 2021.

DepEd-Region XII (SOCCSKSARGEN) had the highest percentage of vaccinated personnel with 96.30%, while DepEd National Capital Region and CAR were just behind at 93.29% and 89.41%.

In DepEd's Central Office (CO), almost nine out of 10 personnel have also been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Around 320 personnel from the CO have also received their booster doses as of Jan. 18.
