You Can Now Pick Up Your Parcels Through LRT-1’s New Smart Locker System

Attention, commuters and shoppers! There’s now a new pickup option for all your online budols. The country’s first-ever smart locker system, a locker where you can receive contactless packages using a security code, is now available at all 20 Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) stations.

The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) has teamed up with logistics company Airspeed Group of Companies (Airspeed) to bring PopBox Asia’s smart locker system to the country. The partnership was signed on Jan. 31, while the ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on Feb. 14 at LRT-1 Central Station.

The PopBox smart locker system is among the latest additions inside the LRT-1 stations this month.

Last week, the LRMC launched a Snacks To-Go by Rebisco vending machine for commuters who want to purchase light snacks and eat them before or after their train rides. This week, they also launched a heART installation and “Love Through the Eyes of Children” arts exhibit by the students of Marcela Marcelo Elementary School in time for Valentine’s Day.
