Crosta Pizzeria Takes the Second Spot in Top 50 Pizza in Asia-Pacific

Why fly out of the country to have a bite of the world’s best pizzas, when you can just drive to Makati? If you haven’t heard yet, Crosta Pizzeria took the second spot in the Top 50 Pizza in Asia-Pacific this year! From being 32nd in 2022 and 10th in 2023, the local pizza spot ranked up the list, surpassing a lot of restaurants all over the region.

Crosta Pizzeria is headed by Filipino-Japanese chef Yuichi Abellare Ito, who used to work at the Michelin-starred restaurant The Pizza Bar on 38th in Japan — the current number one on the list.

Known for their unique flavors and menu offerings, the small pizza studio takes pride in taking their time with the dough. After all, it’s the foundation of a good pizza!

Their pizzas come in various shapes: circle, square, and (an eight-point) star. What most people love about their food is they don’t hold back with the toppings! For lovers of puffy and crunchy crusts, the pizzeria offers the Original Gangsta, which is a sourdough-style round pizza that comes in classic and one-of-a-kind flavors.

We all know that cheese is a must in every pizza, but if you’d love to savor them until the last bite, you can go for their Detroit pizza, which has a crunchy cheese crust. Last but not least, Crosta’s Sicilian pizza has a thick pillowy dough, but with a super-crispy crust and a crunchy base.
