Homegrown Ramen Chain Mendokoro Ramenba Opens Katipunan Outlet

Need a dose of ramen, Northies? Great news, because the beloved homegrown ramen restaurant Mendokoro Ramenba has opened a new branch at The Arton Strip in Katipunan Avenue, making it the chain’s first outlet in Quezon City!
Unveiled late last month, the restaurant boasts a 209-square-meter space designed with a Japandi-inspired interior, which perfectly blends Japanese and Scandinavian aesthetics. The new outlet also dazzles with its rugged ceiling fixture, adorned with long chandelier-like wooden pieces, adding texture and dynamism to the space’s lighting.
Aside from these, there’s also an accent wall that stuns with its illustration of the two guardians of the Edo period, called Nio or Kongo Rikishi. It is also decorated with potted plants, which brightens up the place.
Of course, visitors can also indulge themselves in Mendokoro Ramenba’s wide range of noodle dishes, which includes the classic tantanmen, shoyu, and shioramen, as well as lesser-known menu items such as the cold broth ramen hiyashi, or the dry ramenmaze soba, among others.
If you’ve grown tired of the usual, you can also try one of their off-menu options, such as theEbi TonkotsuRamen or the Super ChashuRamen. These are perfectly paired with the restaurant’s grilled gyoza, or a piece of their ajitsuke tamago, also known as marinated soft-boiled eggs.
Mendokoro Ramenba Katipunan is open from 10 AM to 10 PM daily. To learn more about their newest offerings, follow them on Facebook and Instagram.
