FYI: Spotify Just Announced Price Increase for Premium Subscription

The digital music, podcast, and video service platform Spotify officially sent out a notice to its subscribers earlier this morning about the upcoming price increase of their premium plans, starting in December.

Following recent price increases in other countries, current premium subscribers in the Philippines are given a month to prepare before paying the updated price, while new subscribers will pay the updated price upon registration.

The updated Spotify monthly subscriptions in the Philippines are as follows: P7 for Mini, P75 for Student, P149 for Individual, and P239 for Family. Spotify is currently running a special promotion where you can enjoy the Student plan for three months for just P75, and the Individual and Family plans offer the first two months for P149 and P239, respectively, when you pay using e-wallets or through mobile.

Spotify made its official entry into the country in 2014 through a partnership with the local telecommunications company Globe Telecom. Since then, it has rapidly established itself as one of the top digital streaming platforms in the Philippines.
