Most of us prefer comfort over style. But why not have both?
Giving us the perfect blend of both is global apparel retailer Uniqlo, a brand renowned for its comfy fits and clean designs. This September, the brand is elevating comfort and style with the launch of its 2024 Fall/Winter collection for Uniqlo : C, its special line of clothing crafted by renowned British fashion designer Clare Waight Keller.
The collection is composed of pieces from the LifeWear essentials, revamped to capture the beauty of autumn, winter, and the modern city.
For the first time, the collection will carry a range of menswear items, including relaxed parachute pants and utility parkas, ultra comfy sweats, fine broadcloth shirts, and felted knit tailored jackets. Other items also include a soft-volume nylon tote bag and sleek, monotone low-cut sneakers.
Meanwhile, the women’s collection exudes elegance, with cropped vests and crew cardigans made of lightweight knitted cashmere and a new Heattech technology for added warmth during the cool season. The collection also has lightly padded sleeveless jackets, long dresses, and pleated skirts for additional style, plus accessories like soft-padded clogs and soft fringed stoles to bring in a cozy look.
On working on the collection, Keller said, “I have always loved the interplay between the utility of men’s clothing with the feminine elements of womenswear. These collections see the two combine seamlessly in palette, fabrication, and style, creating a wardrobe of truly interchangeable pieces.”
Aside from Uniqlo, Keller has worked with various top fashion houses and some of the best luxury fashion brands in London and Paris. She has also won Womenswear Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards in 2018 and was named one of the most influential people of 2019 in the TIME 100 Awards.
The Uniqlo : C 2024 Fall/Winter Collection, with prices ranging from P990 to P4,990 (womenswear) and P1,990 to P3,990 (menswear), is available starting Sept. 6 via Uniqlo : C’s website and at Uniqlo stores nationwide.
