Red Planet Makati Amorsolo sets itself apart from accommodations located outside of a city’s business district, as it is strategically tucked within Makati’s CBD. In mere steps, you can find yourself at RCBC Plaza (600 meters away), and with just a five-minute stroll, you’ll reach the Bureau of Internal Revenue Makati (106 meters away). For any emergency or health concerns, you can easily access Makati Medical Center (230 meters away).

If you’re on the hunt for places to drink, you can satisfy your bean cravings at Starbucks Reserve Assembly Grounds (550 meters away). Just a short distance away lies Candid Coffee (550 meters away), one of the hottest artisanal café stores in the metro. For lunch and dinner, you’ll find a slew of restaurants to choose from, including Zubuchon at The Rise (550 meters away), Ducup at Air Mall (600 meters away), and McDonald’s at People Support Center (220 meters away).

Red Planet Makati Amorsolo can be easily found on ride-hailing apps. But if you’re commuting, you’ll have convenient access to jeepneys, taxis, and buses to reach your chosen destination.

Check-in Process

Frequent travelers know the common delays that occur when checking into hotels, which is often due to the high volume of guests or rooms still being prepared. Luckily, our check-in experience at Red Planet Makati Amorsolo was a breeze, taking only less than 10 minutes.

The moment we stepped into the hotel, the hospitable staff greeted us with warm smiles. We were asked to present our identification cards for confirmation and told us to take a seat while they prepare our room. 

As the hotel operates on WiFi 6, the latest WiFi technology, we quickly accessed the internet and enjoyed high-speed browsing while relishing the lobby’s cozy furnishings and cool air-conditioning. Not to mention the place is Instagram-worthy, so we wasted no time snapping photos to preserve memories!

Room Amenities

While a budget-friendly accommodation, Red Planet Makati Amorsolo managed to create a premium vibe with the use of key cards for room entry. Since we’re a group of three, we booked two rooms to fully experience the hotel in all its glory. 

We were pleased by the Twin Room’s spacious layout, which can house a maximum of two adults and two children. It is equipped with two five-star quality single beds, power sockets, a television, and a mini working station where guests can set up their laptops for quick work or study sesh.

The Double Room, on the other hand, comes with a five-star quality and custom-made, queen-sized bed that will instantly lure jetsetters to lie down. Its window curtain setup and horizontally installed mirror both create the illusion of a larger room. There’s also a heater that adjusts that water temperature in an instant, perfect for those early showers in a cold morning.

You may roll your eyes, but apart from the queen-sized bed, the TV was our favorite amenity. It catered to our entertainment needs while charging our smartphones and power banks before heading out to explore the bustling streets of Makati.

Final Thoughts

While hotel prices in Makati are generally high, Red Planet Makati Amorsolo stands as a testament that it isn’t always the case. The hotel’s cost-effective rooms are tailor-made for all types of travelers, from workaholics looking for an accommodation for their meetings in Manila to couples celebrating their anniversary, and families in search of a convenient spot for a quick weekend staycation.
