Pop-rock band Cup of Joe is reaching another milestone in their career!

Cup of Joe is set to headline their biggest show to date, taking over the Philippine Sports Stadium on May 23, 2026. Titled “Sandali: The Cup of Joe Fest,” the concert marks the first time an OPM act stages a solo show at the venue.

“This summer, we’re making history at the Philippine Sports Stadium as the first OPM act to perform at this venue — and we’re doing it together, Joewahs!” said the band in a social media announcement earlier this month.

Positioned as a large-scale summer event, the night promises a night of water splashes, live music, immersive visuals, and crowd-driven moments, bringing together fans for a shared, high-energy experience under one sky.

Tickets will be available starting Mar. 28, 2026, via SM Tickets at 12 P.M. Tickets are priced from P1,000 (Upperbox Obstructed View), P1,500 (Upperbox 3), P2,500 (Upperbox 2), P3,000 (Lowerbox Obstructed View), P3,500 (Upperbox 1), P4,500 (Lowerbox), P5,000 (VIP D Obstructed View), P6,500 (Patron), and P7,800 (Splash Zone).

In February 2026, Cup of Joe’s “Multo” reached over 500 million streams on Spotify, receiving the title “most-streamed OPM song of all time”, overtaking Up Dharma Down’s “Tadhana.”

In 2025, the band released its debut studio album “Silakbo,” and held their second and third major concerts at the Araneta Coliseum — making history as the first Filipino band to achieve a total of five sold-out concert dates in a single year.

On Mar. 29, Escolta takes the spotlight with Kalye Escolta: Women’s Month Art Market, turning the street into a pedestrian-friendly hub for women-led creativity, independent brands, and Manila’s growing creative community.

A new Filipino story unfolds on the classical stage as Ballet Philippines reveals its latest original production, “Paglalakbay: The Journey of The Sea People.”

Premiering with a gala performance on Apr. 10 and running through Apr. 12, 2026, at The Theatre at Solaire in Parañaque City, the full-length ballet explores migration, heritage, and identity through a distinctly Filipino lens.

Choreographed by Ballet Philippines Artistic Director Mikhail Martynyuk with a libretto by Sheree Chua, the production draws inspiration from the Austronesian Migration in 3000 BCE. The story follows the Sea People and their epic journey towards Batanes, weaving historical imagination with a mix of classical and contemporary choreography.

The score, composed by emerging global talent Ronald Vincenzo de Leon, blends classical ballet foundations with traditional rhythms, including beats of the Kalusan, creating a soundscape that bridges heritage and modern performance in one.

Visually, the production takes cues from Batanes’ dramatic, mountainous landscape. Production designer and Filipino artist Leeroy New draws inspiration from the province’s windswept cliffs, jagged rocky shores, and vast ocean views, translating Batanes’ primal energy into an immersive stage experience.

More than just a retelling of historical migration, “Paglalakbay” reflects Ballet Philippines’ continuing push to bring Filipino stories to the classical stage. The work was also inspired by the company’s Ballet Brigade outreach program in Batanes, where artists interacted with local communities, elders, and children in cultural exchange.

Serving as Ballet Philippines’ finale for their 56th Season, the production reflects the company’s belief that local indigenous stories deserve to share the stage with classical art and dance.

“Paglalakbay: The Journey of The Sea People” runs from Apr. 10 to 12, 2026, with tickets available through TicketWorld, Ballet Philippines, and the Solaire Box Office. The Manila Improv Fest 2026 returns for its biggest edition yet with a simple but bold theme: showing up. The festival brings together improvisers, performers, and curious first-timers from around the world for five days of live shows, workshops, and collaborative play built entirely offhand.

This year’s theme, “Rise to the Moment,” promises audiences a wide array of everything improv — sharp comedy, musical improv, fast-moving storytelling, and ensemble performances — all created on the spot, and never to be repeated in the same way ever again.

Happening from Mar. 25 to 29, 2026, at The Proscenium at Rockwell, audiences can expect five full days of performances, 70 improv acts, and 21 workshop classes with artists from 20+ countries. The Philippines’ biggest improv group, SPIT Manila, will be performing for the opening night, and is surely not to be missed!

Beyond the laughter and slapstick, the festival celebrates the spirit and art of improv itself: through listening, responding, and building something completely unexpected. It could be messy in the beginning, but it’s an invitation to step into the present and “rise to the moment.”

On Mar. 15, 2026, Art in the Park returns to Jaime Velasquez Park for its 20th anniversary, turning the heart of Makati City into a casual and laidback gallery under the trees and sunshine.

Long known as the country’s favorite art day out, the annual affair invites park-goers, first-time art collectors, and longtime art lovers through a vibrant showcase of Filipino contemporary art — a simple and easygoing way to enjoy art outside the four walls of a gallery.

Staying true to its roots, the 2026 edition keeps its signature price cap of P70,000 per artwork, making collecting feel accessible and exciting all around. This year’s milestone run also promises a strong lineup of 55 exhibitors, highlighting galleries, art collectives, independent art spaces, and student groups from around the Philippines.

For this year’s edition, Art in the Park features Filipina contemporary artist Ayka Go as its main headline artist for the special exhibits area, whose work invites viewers into a world that dives into memory and materiality. “For this year’s Art in the Park, I chose to exhibit my abstract works because it’s fun and playful,” said Ayka Go during a press event held last Feb. 27, 2026. “It’s Art in the Park, it’s supposed to be playful!”

Beyond the art, Art in the Park is also about the atmosphere. The event will feature a wide range of food and beverage concessionaires, offering everything from artisanal coffee and craft cocktails to choice local and other eats. Complementing the culinary experience, the park will stay lively with musical sets and live performances scheduled throughout the day.

As always, Art in the Park is free and open to all from 10 AM to 10 PM.
