7. Cinemalaya 2024
ICYMI: Cinemalaya is back from Aug. 2-11 at Ayala Malls Manila Bay, celebrating its 20th year with the theme “Loob, Lalim, Lakas.” This year's festival features 10 short films and 10 full-length movies. Notable entries include "Balota" by Kip Oebanda starring Kapuso actress Marian Rivera, "The Hearing" by Lawrence Fajardo and Honee Alipio starring Mylene Dizon, and "Love Child" starring real-life couple Jane Oineza and RK Bagatsing.
8. Do You Hear the People Sing?
"Do You Hear the People Sing?" makes its grand return to Manila on Aug. 2-3 at 8 PM at the Newport Performing Arts Theater. This fundraising concert, celebrating Boublil and Schönberg's musical legacy, features hits from "Les Misérables," "Miss Saigon," and more.
