Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards’ “Hello, Love, Again” has broken yet another record!
Just a few days after the film surpassed the 2023 box office hit “Rewind” and became the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, the “Hello, Love, Goodbye” sequel has officially hit P1.06 billion earnings, producers Star Cinema and GMA announced.
Prior to this, the film recorded P930 million sales just 10 days after it opened in cinemas worldwide.
This adds to the film’s numerous recognitions, including being the most widely released Filipino film internationally, as well as the largest opening weekend for a Filipino film in the United States and Canada, among many others. The film was also screened at the recently held Asian World Film Festival 2024.
“We love you a billion times, guys. ‘Di namin in-expect na aabot po ng ganito ‘yung gross income ng ‘Hello, Love, Again,’ globally (We did not expect that its gross income would be this much). No words can say how grateful we are. Maraming, maraming salamat po (Thank you very much),” Alden said in a video message released by local media outlet ABS-CBN News.
“We’re just extremely grateful. Thank you sa lahat ng mga sumusuporta sa movie, sa lahat ng mga kababayan natin (to everyone who supports the movie, to all our fellow Filipinos). Parte kayo nito (You are a part of this). Thank you for making this possible,” Bernardo added.
Part of the film’s proceeds will be donated to the victims of the recent typhoons that devastated the country, both stars announced.
“Hello, Love, Again” is a continuation of Ethan and Joy’s love story from the 2019 romance-drama film “Hello, Love, Goodbye.” The film follows the challenges the lead character faced as Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) in Hong Kong and Canada during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Hello, Love, Again” is still showing in cinemas nationwide. Book your tickets via SM Cinema, Sureseats, Vista Cinemas, and Robinsons Movieworld.
