10 Sneaker Hotspots in Singapore for the Shoe Fiends Out There

SG Sneakers HEADER

Today, sneakers are just as important as any part of your outfit. But, it used to be challenging to find the hottest pair of trainers, even just a few years ago. With most of the shoe culture focused out west, so are the releases. It meant scrounging for plugs that may or may not put a high premium on their access.

That’s ancient history, though, as there are tonnes of shops that specialise in having a curated selection. So, those exclusive pairs that eluded people for the longest time will finally have access to them. Let us take you around Singapore so that you know where you can cop those minted trainers that you so desire.

SNKRDUNK

SNKRDUNK’s minted branch on Orchard Road, despite being the new kid on the block, has become a cathedral for sneakerheads on the island. They have the Japanese pedigree and no one can match their collection, which they sell for retail prices. They don’t take advantage of the fact that you want first dibs on the new Travis Scotts or a New Balance refresh; they just give you the chance to own one without having to go the resell way. That’s a dub for sneakerheads all day.

To top it all off, they even have an app. So, should you not find the pair in store, there’s a good chance it’s somewhere in the app. Talk about good service, eh?

Location: SNKRDUNK, Mandarin Gallery, 333A Orchard Road, #01-09/02-10

Leftfoot

The sneaker council in Singapore resides in Leftfoot, the original sneaker shop turned streetwear oasis. Their approach has been the same since the beginning: extensive but curated selections that will make you the envy of any shoe-loving crowd. We’re sure that beyond the shoes, you’ll shop an entire look by the time you exit their hallowed ground.

For parents who want to buy their kids the freshest kicks, Leftfoot Kids in Marina Square should have the toddler collection to warm your sneakerhead heart.

Location: Leftfoot, Mandarin Gallery, 333 Orchard Road, #02-18

Limited Edt

Limited Edt’s “build it and they will come” approach to sneaker domination is a big benefit to hypestans on the island. Their collections are gas, living up to their name. You can expect them to pay attention to less shiny releases, which are the trademark of a true collector. If there’s any store in Singapore that could have a pair of Adidas Berlin (God’s gift to sneakerheads), Limited Edt will pay attention.

They sometimes come out with basketball releases, so if you play ball, watch this space.

Location: Limited Edt, 1 Queensway, Queensway Shopping Centre

Dover Street Market SG

Dover Street Market takes people out in the weeds. This is a high-fashion space, and the sneakers you ‘ll see here are constant in Paris and Milan FWs. If you want to take your style to the stratosphere, you do it in Dover Street and nowhere else. Trade your Uniqlo, Gap, and H&M for some stunners from Kiko Kostadinov, Vaquera, and maybe if available, a pair of Prada x Adidas Samba. S-tier, from top to bottom.

Location: Dover Street Market Singapore, 18 Dempsey Road

Sneakers Club

Sneakers Club is a ball club. This is a basketball sneakers paradise. Whatever you see NBA players wear on the daily, there’s a good chance that you’ll find it here in the same colourway that you want. They also expanded their collections to include up-and-coming sneaker brands like Li-Ning, Converse, and Puma, and based on their most recent releases, you can understand why this has a spot in a place like this.

You’ll also find signature basketball jerseys here, but we can’t imagine those stay in stock long. Curry’s and Lillard’s? Someone will snap those up quick.

Location: Sneakers Club, 1 Queensway, Queensway Shopping Center #01-16

Sole Superiors

One look at Sole Superior’ socials, and you’ll know that they’re about that life. Hype left, right, and centre, you’ll find the hottest sneaker releases here. They’re pretty much a one-stop shop for anything that the culture has its eye on, so move quick if you spot an item that you like.

Sole Superior also holds sneaker events so you may catch them putting some really valuable pairs that the public has a chance to snap up.

Location: Sole Superior, 52 Telok Blangah Rd, #02-07 Telok Blangah House

Foot Locker

Foot Locker is…Foot Locker. Memes aside, the sneaker world wouldn’t be where it is today without the locker’s contribution to the culture, and it continues to be a pillar in the community. But, not in an oldhead kind. Foot Locker is still a premier spot for limited edition pair just because they have that kind of clout by now.

For the latest Jordans, this still should be the first place on your radar.

Location: Foot Locker, 218 Orchard Road, Unit #03-01/03-06 Gateway @ Emerald

JD Sports

You can expect all widely released trainers to have a home at JD Sports. Singapore’s ol’ reliable when it comes to shoes have just about everything you could need. But, they have expanded their exclusive editions, making them a good spot for snagging some of the hottest pairs of shoes. They also have all kinds of sport-themed apparel, and a kids’ department. A sneaker store for the family, that’s JD Sports.

Location: JD Sports, 2 Orchard Turn

DOT

Despite being known as a multi-label store these days, DOT makes the cut because they carry the right footwear to pair with your fresh clothes. There are lifestyle and athletic trainers in stock, as well as some more lounge-leaning apparel.

Location: DOT, Bugis+ #02-14

East Eight

If a pair of shoes is ringing though the streets, there's a great chance that East Eight will be carrying it soon in store. This is your modern sneaker shop in action. Everything on display is on sale, and they branch out beyond the typical brands. Basically, once a pair is making the rounds in the streetwear space, you better haul ass and get to their store (physical or digital) so you can cop your pair ASAP.

Location: East Eight, 277 Orchard Road, Orchard Gateway, #01-01
