Explore And Experience Singapore in Spring

March is finally here to kick off spring! Say goodbye to winter woes and cold nights, and take a step outside to welcome the first buds of the season.
When spring comes, Singapore becomes a vibrant destination filled with festivals, lush greenery, and exciting experiences. As Asia’s greenest city, it boasts a myriad of activities for you to enjoy during the spring months, from strolling through gorgeous gardens in full bloom to catching art festivals and indulging in local cuisine. From March till May, the city has much to offer under an expanse of blue skies and pleasant weather perfect for gallivanting across its urban spaces.
Why Visit Singapore in Spring?
Don’t get us wrong; Singapore is a great place to explore all year round. But if we were to choose an ideal time to go, it would fall around spring, which starts from March to May. This is a period when the city-state enjoys good weather with an average temperature of 27 °C. Although it’s still warm, it rains less, and the humidity is lower, which makes it the perfect time to suntan or enjoy a day out in one of their parks.
In March, you can enjoy nature without suffocating from the heat. Meanwhile, April and May bring in a bit more fog and cloudy days, which is ideal for those who want to explore the city without the sun beating down on their heads. It’s also considered a low tourism season, so you can enjoy attractions with fewer crowds. Overall, it’s the ideal time for outdoor excursions and leisure activities.
Ready to explore? Whether you’re a nature lover, a foodie, or an adventure seeker, here are some of the best things to do in Singapore this season!
Stop and Smell the Roses

When spring arrives, we start seeing some of our friends on social media flying to counties with cooler temperatures to see the cherry blossoms. But you don’t need to go far to see spring blooms.
Although quite warm, Singapore is actually a green city with several lush green areas and beautiful gardens worth exploring. From trumpet flowers that resemble cherry blossoms to fiery-looking flame trees, these are just some of the pretty flower sights the city has to offer.
Jurong Lake Gardens is usually covered in a canopy of pink during this time due to the many trumpet trees in bloom, mimicking the delicate Sakura blooms, while the East Coast Park is practically bursting with colorful Bougainvillea bushes. For IG-worthy posts, you can visit the Japanese Cemetery Park, which is known for its picturesque floral archways draped in Bougainvillea flowers and surrounded by more trumpet trees.
But if you’re set on seeing actual cherry blossoms, just head over to Gardens by the Bay and check out their annual Sakura event. This year, the attraction is highlighting Japan’s Fukuoka prefecture, featuring recreations of the Kokura castle, light installations, and iconic floral displays. You can experience a Japanese spring in Singapore at the Flower Dome from Mar. 8 to Apr. 6 for only S$32 per adult (S$18 for children)!
Join In the Festive Fun

Springtime brings in more than fine weather and beautiful flowers, but also a series of events and celebrations that truly heighten the city’s vibrant energy. One of them is the Singapore International Festival of Arts, which showcases theatre, dance, music, and visual arts in a series of performances in different venues around Singapore.
There are also a bunch of festivals and exhibitions currently ongoing around the city, such as the LIV Golf Singapore 2025, which goes beyond golf and is a full-on festival with live music, food events, and family-friendly activities. If you’re an art enthusiast, the Groundseesaw is hosting three immersive art exhibitions namely “Monet Inside,” “Van Gogh Inside: Love, Vincent,” and “Gustav Klimt: Timeless Beauty.” You can book your tickets via Fever.
For Disney fans, the Singapore Indoor Stadium is hosting the latest production of “Disney On Ice,” a dazzling ice-skating show featuring some of your favorite Disney characters.
Looking to indulge in a feast? We’ve got you covered. There are a couple of food events happening this season, such as the Ramadan food festival at Kampong Gelam (Mar. 25) and the APAC Food & Beverage Expo 2025 at the Singapore Expo Hall (Mar. 13 to 16).
Have A Thrilling Adventure at Sentosa Island

Pleasant weather calls for a fun day outdoors, and there’s no better place to do that than in Sentosa, where thrilling rides, relaxing beaches, and world-class attractions await you.
Explore the deep blue in the SEA Aquarium and witness various species of underwater creatures or spend a day going wild in Universal Studios Singapore where your favorite movies come to life through exciting rides and live shows. The new Minion Land recently opened, too, so be the first to experience the new attractions!
Sentosa Island is also filled with world-class stays that offer top-notch services and facilities. Consider booking a room and spend a luxurious weekend by the beach!
Ride The Waves

Now we don’t mean get in the water literally (but you can totally do that too in Sentosa with its waterpark and beaches), what we’re saying is that the spring weather is the perfect time to see the city from the water and what better way to do that than to hop on board the Singapore River Cruise?
Get to know the city through a guided tour along the Singapore River. You get to ride a traditional bumboat and sail down multiple historic landmarks like the Raffles, the Esplanade, and the Old Parliament House. It’s also a unique way to take in the city’s incredible skyline!
Pro tip: ride it just before sunset. Trust us, it’s magical seeing the city transform from day to night!
Head Into The Wild

Singapore is home to various wildlife parks, and its fifth and newest one is opening this season! Rainforest Wild Asia is the region’s first adventure-based zoological park inspired by Southeast Asian rainforests. It offers the ultimate immersive experience through ten unique zones and is home to various animal species.
Mandai Wildlife Reserve also features other wildlife experiences worth checking out, such as The Night Safari — the world’s first nocturnal wildlife park — and the Singapore Zoo.
There are also new attractions in the area, such as the Mandai Boardwalk, where you can take in breathtaking views across the Upper Seletar Reservoir, and the Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, which is set to give its guests an unparalleled accommodation experience this April!
