National Museum of Singapore Opens Purpose-built Social Space for Seniors
The National Museum of Singapore has launched an inclusive café and activity space for the elderly, including those with dementia and mild cognitive impairment, where they can engage in meaningful activities and conversations. In partnership with Lien Foundation, it’s the first purpose-built dedicated social space for seniors in a local museum.
Named “Reunion,” the initiative aims to provide a space for seniors to build relationships, relax, and feel rejuvenated from their daily routine. It features monthly workshops, music booths, an immersive projection cave, and senior-friendly tours and programmes, such as Refresh and Reconnect!, Quiet Mornings, and Memories Café.
While the space is built for seniors, Café Brera at Reunion is open to all visitors. Here, guests can walk in and enjoy the booths and virtual exhibitions with their elderly loved ones.
