Famous for its signature monogram canvas with interlocking “LV” letters, Louis Vuitton is one of the first luxury houses to rule the high-end market. On Feb. 29, Louis Vuitton landed in Bangkok to unveil LV The Place Bangkok.

Located at Gaysorn Amarin Shopping Center in Ratchaprasong Intersection, it has emerged as one of the newest destinations, not just for luxury lovers but for cultural enthusiasts as well. It features experiential spaces such as a modern boutique, a visually aesthetic café, and a fine dining restaurant led by esteemed Chef Gaggan Anand.

Curious to know more? We’ve created a quick guide for you before you explore the lavish enclaves that await you at LV The Place Bangkok.

How to Get There and Essential Tips

In the case of commuters, ride the BTS and alight at Chit Lom station. Upon reaching Exit 2, you can easily spot the building adorned with a huge LV logo and twinkling embellishments. For those arriving with their own vehicle, take advantage of Gaysorn Amarin’s exclusive valet parking service.

It is important to note that the dress code is smart casual; avoid wearing slippers, beach sandals, and flip-flops. Gentlemen should wear a polo shirt or long-sleeved top paired with trousers, and closed shoes. For the private dining room to be reserved, a minimum of six people is required.

Exhibition

Perhaps you may be worried that entering this luxurious haven will have you breaking your New Year's Resolution of spending less (and not buying another LV bag? We understand the struggle!), but fret not. LV The Place Bangkok offers a FREE exhibit called “Visionary Journeys” in a bid to showcase the maison’s creativity for over 150 years through a fun and immersive experience.

You will be entering a tunnel made of vintage Louis Vuitton trunks enveloped by digital screens that project moving images. As you pass through this trunk space, you will reach a room filled with LV treasure chests of archives which are real pieces of high value.

Moving over to the next zone, prepare to be awestruck with the brand’s most iconic bags encased in a symbolic “bubble of creativity.” Moreover, you may also enjoy a room presenting LV’s collaborations with various artists and labels, including Yayoi Kusama, Stephen Sprouse, and US-based streetwear brand Supreme, displayed across 60 digital screens.

What’s more, you can bring home mementos such as postcards or, if luck is on your side, you can get an LV tote bag via the interactive screen with colourful panels inspired by the top view of bazaars that you can see at Rod Fai Market Ratchada.

The exhibition will grace Bangkok for a year before transferring to other key destinations across the world. Make sure to book your spot before you visit, click here.

Restaurant

Legendary Indian chef Gaggan Annand has collaborated with LV The Place Bangkok aimed at bringing two cultures together. This is the maison’s debut restaurant in South Asia and will be filling your taste buds with a combination of local Thai flavours and Louis Vuitton's signature styles, with prices starting at THB4,000 for an eight-course lunch and THB8,000 for a 17-course dinner.

As part of its “5S menu” offerings – sweet, sour, salty, spicy, and surprise – each dish is exclusive, seasonal, and uniquely detailed. These delights include the “Lick It Up” dish, a flower-shaped guava candy with an explosive yogurt on top, tomato nectar, cold curry, and more.

Located on the second floor, the restaurant will greet its diners with Louis Vuitton trunks artfully stacked at the forefront. As you make your way towards the dining area, you’ll be captivated by avant-garde display sets, flower lamps embellished with the brand’s iconic LV monogram, a great kitchen view, and an elegant space overall.
