Top Peking Opera 'Love & Bewilderment' Is Coming to Malaysia This July

After nine long years, the world-renowned GuoGuang Opera Company is making its comeback in Malaysia with the premiere of the top Peking opera, “Jingju Magic – Love & Bewilderment,” this July!

To be staged from July 12 to 14 at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC), the play will feature an enchanting tale based on the literary classic “Romance of the Three Kingdoms.”

It will be composed of two double bills: “Zhuangzi Tests His Wife,” "Lu Wenlong,” “The Death of Zhou Yu,” and “Guiying’s Accusation of Wang Kuei at the Temple.” These plays will be performed with both English and Mandarin surtitles by a total of 29 actors, catering to both local and international audiences.

To captivate its viewers, the opera also employs martial arts combat scenes and lavish stage set-ups, among many other surprises.

Super early bird tickets are available from now until May 31, with prices starting at RM48. Meanwhile, early bird tickets, with prices starting at RM58, will be available throughout June.
