Fancy Some Exotic Yet Aesthetic Clothes? Here’s Where to Go Shopping in Thailand
by: The Beat Asia
Do you love dressing up differently from the ordinary? Are you fond of wearing bold, bright, and eye-catching colours?
If the answer is yes, then get ready to ditch your usual jeans and plain tees for something more exotic.
Exotic fashion can be achieved by combining elements from different cultures and style eras. For artsy fashionistas, this unique style calls for a great deal of experimentation with colours, weird patterns, intriguing textures, or anything that is extremely interesting.
We believe that fashion is a form of self-expression, therefore, no one should enforce how you’ll present your personal sense of style. What truly matters is that you dress in a way that allows you to feel good about yourself.
Here are some fashion boutiques in Thailand where you can shop exotic yet aesthetically pleasing outfits. Check them out!
Established in 2005, Disaya is a clothing brand in Bangkok led by creative director Disaya Sorakraikitikul. The shop is known for its romantic and feminine style. Most of its collections are colourful and printed fabrics featuring retro fashion and contemporary designs.
Its Magick Moment collection highlights a “witchcraft” aesthetic infused with botanical charms and magical elements. For unique yet interesting pieces, you may spruce up your style with the shop’s jean jacket with embroidered bows (THB8,550), polka dot mesh dress with tiny ribbons (THB18,490), and floral printed dress with mesh gloves (THB12,990), among others.
Other designer pieces that’ll be a good addition to your exotic wardrobe are from Disaya’s Vacationist collection. These are made from traditional handwoven “Ikat Silk” from the province of Khon Kaen.
Shop Disaya’s sailor dress with crop top and hat (THB3,590), printed wide jeans with ruffle top (THB2,375), backless dress with Shell Guipure chain (THB6,050), and more.

Started as a Thai silk business, Jim Thompson is an iconic global lifestyle brand from Thailand that prospered and ventured into home furnishings, restaurants, arts, and of course, fashion.
The fashion collections of Jim Thompson feature exotic yet aesthetic clothes that you can wear every day.
You may shop its most recent men's collection of Hawaiian linen shirts designed with an ancient Thai pattern merged with overlapping patterns of spherical flowers. It is believed that these patterns can bring fortune and success.
Other collections are inspired from the Thai word "Karawek," which can refer to either a wonderful flower ("Dok Karawek") or a magical bird with a melodious voice ("Nok Karawek"). The shop combined these two concepts to create a “magical print” available in different colours such as red, pink, blue, and yellow.
