Thai Drag Queens Fashion Brands

Having an aesthetically outlandish fashion sense and exceptional looks are what make a drag artist a queen. In the American reality competition television series “RuPaul's Drag Race,” contestants flaunt their best angles and frames, iconic runway walks, versatile looks, passionate advocacies, and more.

Aside from their impressive runway moments, drag queens paved the way for the LGBTQ+ community to gain more visibility by breaking down barriers and advocating for social change.

If you love to sashay and dress in drag, here are some fashion brands that will help you slay like a real drag queen.

Illfacbangkok

Drag queens, like Amadiva, love to dress in out-of-this-world costumes to showcase different characters. You can cop Amadiva’s look featuring Illfacbangkok’s bullet bra in leopard print and sexy DIY pants in red.

This clothing brand in Bangkok has a pop-up store located at the UMD department at Union Mall. Other drag queen-inspired costumes you can score at Illfacbangkok are long sleeve shirts with net pants, corsets, fur tops, and more.

Location: UMD Union Mall, 54 Soi Ladprao 1 Khwaeng Chom Phon, Khet Chatuchak, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon

Maya Modern

For modern fancy dress, Maya Modern is the go-to rental shop for all kinds of costumes for men and women, such as cheerleaders, Disney princes and princesses, space suits, evening dresses, gowns, and more.

Each dress is uniquely designed by a team of professionals, and it comes in various sizes to choose from. The shop prides itself on the cleanliness and high quality of the garments it rents out.

Angele Anang, the first transgender to win “Drag Race Thailand,” slayed one of Maya Modern’s dresses during Pride Month and absolutely killed it! She wore a rainbow-coloured gown paired with a long flowy robe.

Location: Maya Modern, entrance of Soi Ramkhamhaeng 24/4, Huamark Subdistrict, Bang Kapi District

Tormai Studio

This weaving studio is owned by a drag performer and a contestant in season 2 of “Drag Race Thailand” – Tormai. Since she was young, Tormai has been fascinated with silk fabric, hence her drag name “Tor Mai,” which means to weave or woven.

The shop specialises in flamboyant and stylish dresses that incorporate elements of creativity, mystery, complexity, and ethereal fashion all in one. A well-known drag queen from Thailand, Madame Mod, was spotted wearing Tormai Studio’s cloud-like costume and an ensemble made with heavy shades of pastel.

Location: 1, 1 Lat Phrao 64, Khwaeng Wang Thonglang, Khet Wang Thonglang, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon

Isares, a Bangkok-based fashion label, provides stunning gowns and accessories to customers like Thai drag queens.

You may find practically whatever drag fashion needs at Isares, from draped dresses and feather capes to tiger body suits and Chinese nine-tailed foxes. Some of the Thai drag queens they’ve dolled up are Too Calderone, Année Maywong, Kandy Zyanide, and RuPaul of Thailand Pangina Heals, among others.

Tom and Bee

Tom and Bee is a fashion brand in Thailand that offers made-to-order and ready-to-wear clothing. The shop specialises in corsets, corset dresses, couture gowns, and more. Its signature designs and creations are made with glitter, bead embroidery, sequins, and other forms of bling bling.
