Fashion Alert! What We Know So Far About Thailand Fashion Week AW23-24

Heads up, fashionistas and fellow creatives!

The autumn-winter collection (AW23-24) of Thailand Fashion Week will be held at Varavela Garden Hall in Bangkok this June 29-30. Models and designers will grace the halls of Varavela, adding an air of elegance to the venue's otherwise contemporary atmosphere and state-of-the-art facilities.

Since fashion week is right around the corner, here’s what we know so far, from the show’s schedule to expected designers and ticket prices.

Tickets

Tickets for Thailand Fashion Week AW23-24 went on sale last February via the TFW official website and event platform 10times. When booking a ticket, select your seats using the black boxes shown on the site, then enter your name and the number of tickets before proceeding to the payment page.

Get your tickets as soon as you can since the front row seats (US$60) are selling out fast. Tickets for the second and third rows are priced at US$40, while floating seats cost US$30.

Calendar

The two-day fashion week will include fitting and runway practice sessions led by designers. Doors will open for the main runway show at 1:30 PM and the event will begin at 2 PM. There will be a full slate of 18 shows, categorised into Couture and Femme, Femme, Homme, Avant-Garde, and Gen-Next. To learn more about the TFW event schedule, visit this link.

Designers

As of this writing, Roberth Gallardo III and Don Cristobal have been confirmed to showcase their collections this season.

Filipino designer Gallardo will exhibit his Felicity collection in the Avant Garde category, which focuses on modern Filipino style. He is the first Filipino designer for both pet and human fashion, and his work has been lauded locally and internationally. He also joined the TFW in the spring-summer collection last 2021.

Cristobal, on the other hand, is another Filipino pride known as an international fashion and costume designer, stylist, and photographer. 

He previously served as the former vice president for international affairs and chair of media affairs of the Fashion Designers Association of the Philippines. His masterpieces incorporate classic designs blended with modern touches and intricate details.
