Thailand’s Longest Skywalk in Suphan Buri to Open to Public in 2025
Thailand’s longest skywalk, located at U Thong Ancient City Nature Trail in Suphan Buri, is expected to open to the public in 2025, Governor Nattapat Suwanprateep said via a report from The Nation yesterday.
The skywalk’s construction began in 2020 and the first phase has been completed. The second phase is currently underway. The skywalk measures 32 metres high and 500 metres long with a nine-storey glass elevator.
Nattapat said the elevators are safe and stable and can carry around 500 kilograms in passenger capacity. He further explained that there are six 24-millimeter bars that will be anchored into the mountainside using beams to attach the skywalk to the enormous boulders.
The skywalk will serve as more than just a tourist attraction; it will also be utilised to promote ecotourism and history tours that highlight the Dvaravati era. This plan aims to increase the number of Buddhist pilgrims visiting the site.
