PSA: You Can Now Bring Your Fur Babies Inside IKEA Thailand Stores
Heads up, fur parents! If you’re planning to shop for furniture and home décor at IKEA Thailand but don’t want to leave your babies behind, you’ll be glad to know that their Bangna, Bang Yai, and Phuket stores now allow pets.
But, sadly, it’s still too early to rejoice as the Swedish furniture giant has laid down a few rules that customers need to follow.
First, only pets (cats and dogs) under 15 kilograms are allowed in stores. Second, pets can be brought anywhere in store except the food areas: the Swedish restaurant, Swedish café, Swedish food market, Swedish bistro, and Swedish bakery shop.
“At IKEA, we know cats and dogs are always an important part of your family. You’re now welcome to bring cats and dogs under 15 kilograms to shop with you in our stores, except in all food areas,” IKEA Thailand said in a release earlier this month.
Third, customers can only bring their fur babies if they’re inside a pet trolley or a zip-closed stroller, which means they aren’t allowed to step foot on the store floors.
According to their Facebook post on June 5, customers who don’t have their own pet strollers can borrow one at Central Westgate (for IKEA Bang Yai) or Megabangna (for IKEA Bangna) for a limited time.
Lastly, IKEA Thailand reminds its customers that they should be responsible for their pets as they will be liable for any damage and harm caused by them in store. They also don’t offer a pet deposit service, so either customers rent a trolley or visit the stores when they’re not carrying their fur babies around.
