The Road to Bangkok Jazz Festival is set to take place this Apr. 30 to May 2, 2026, in celebration of International Jazz Day. Held as a prelude to the upcoming Bangkok Jazz Festival after a 19-year hiatus, the festival is positioned as a revival of the city’s jazz scene with a three-day program to match.
The Road to Bangkok Jazz Festival will bring together international artists from the World Jazz Network alongside leading Thai musicians and school bands.

The lineup includes performances by the Michael Varekamp Wiboud Burkens International Jazz Quintet, saxophonist Alexander Beets’ Kung Fu Jazz Orchestra, pianist Peter Beets’ trio, and bassist Fabio Lannino, with sets paying tribute to jazz icons such as Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, and Chick Corea.
Alongside performances, the program will feature workshops, jam sessions, and educational activities led by international musicians, spotlighting the event as a platform for performance and a space for cultural exchange.
This initiative marks a renewed interest in establishing Bangkok as a regional hub for jazz, blending live performance with community-driven programming and cross-cultural collaboration.
