Charles Leclerc is bringing his signature racing number off the track and onto the whisky shelf.

Chivas Regal has launched Chivas Regal 16 Year Old, a limited-edition Scotch whisky co-created with the Ferrari Formula 1 driver and Chivas Regal Master Blender Sandy Hyslop. The brand's first 16-year-old expression debuted at Whisky Live Manila & Bar Show 2026, held last Oct. 16 and 17, 2026, at Shangri-La The Fort in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

The launch date was no coincidence. October 16 is Leclerc's birthday, and 16 is also the number on his Scuderia Ferrari HP race car. But the number is more than just a clever branding detail for this collaboration.

The blend brings together 16 carefully selected whiskies, each aged for at least 16 years. Leclerc chose Longmorn single malt matured in sherry casks as its signature component, helping give the finished Scotch a rich, velvety character with dark tones and warm, spicy notes.

According to Chivas Regal, Leclerc challenged the team to create the first 16-year-old whisky in the brand's history. He worked with Hyslop throughout the process. Chivas Regal is also a team partner of Scuderia Ferrari HP.

"This blend was built on deliberate choices, from the number on the label to the Longmorn at its heart," said Mary Jane Wong, Group Brand Manager for Pernod Ricard Philippines.
