Louise to Host Charity Dinner on Feb 27 for Turkey Syria Earthquake

JIA Group fine-dining restaurant LOUISE will host an exclusive charity dinner on Feb. 27 to help support rescue and recovery efforts in the wake of the Turkey-Syria earthquake.

Chef Franckelie of LOUISE joins six other star chefs in Hong Kong for a one night serving a seven-course dinner priced at HK$4888 per guest, with 100% of proceeds going towards the AFAD association, to coordinate with emergency management and building new homes in affected areas.

“My heart sank when I heard the news about Türkiye and Syria. I spent a few years working in Türkiye, and it is a beautiful country that is very close to my heart. No matter where you are in the world, there’s always a way to help,” says Chef Franckelie Laloum. “I am grateful for my friends who came together last minute to prepare this exceptional menu, and to cook together for an urgent cause.”

The Chefs for Turkiye Charity Dinner will host a course made by each Hong Kong chef, namely Manav Tuli of CHAAT, Maxime Gilbert of Écriture, Antimo Maria Merone of Estro, Antonio Oviedo of Agora, Richard Ekkebus of Amber at Landmark Mandarin Oriental, and Vicky Lau of TATE Dining Room.

Each chef presents some signature dishes, with highlights such as Ventresca, with Spanish Tuna Belly, Kristal Caviar and Garum, made by Chef Antonio, Kinki, charcoal grilled, smoked fruit tomatoes and amou strawberries from Chef Maxime, Soba Noodle in Chicken Supreme Sauce topped with Black Truffle made by Chef Vicky.

The charity night will also include a silent auction, with prizes of a Six Course Soy Based Gourmet Dinner Experience, created by Chef Vicky Lau (HK$4320), one night in a Grand Harbour View Suite including Manor Club access plus two 60-minute treatments in Asaya and a set menu dinner for two in Bluhouse (HK$22,000), and one night in Victoria Harbor suite with Club Lounge access for two guests and one afternoon Tea at The Lounge & Bar for two guests (HK$11900) up for grabs.

“We are confident that Türkiye will overcome this disaster. We are determined to provide safe and comfortable shelter and temporary housing to the millions affected from the earthquakes as soon as possible,” says Peyami Kalyoncu, Consul General of Turkey in Hong Kong.
