But it's more than just a culinary exhibition - Spanish Week Hong Kong is a true celebration of Spanish culture. 5. Adoption Day Block Party at PMQ in SoHo

Hosted by neighbourhood mainstay Club Rangoon and Kelly Animals Shelter, this Adoption Day Block Party features two puppy pens and adult dogs looking for forever families. This community event blends culinary delights with a noble cause, inviting everyone to a day of companionship and compassion. Those who leave with a new furry friend will stand the chance to receive giveaways and pet merchandise from event sponsors.

Club Rangoon will also be offering a special Kiosk menu with Burmese skewers and signature samusas. Complementing these fragrant Southeast Asian flavours are wines, beers, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages.

6. Hong Kong Cyclothon 2023

Gear up to witness the riveting 2023 Hong Kong Cyclothon! With seven races to cater to cyclists of all levels, featuring the participation of international cyclists under the UCI Class 1.1 category, this event is a treat for biking enthusiasts city wide.

The 50km Ride, starting and ending at Tsim Sha Tsui, covers scenic routes through Ma Wan, Cheung Tsing Tunnel, Tsing Ma Bridge, Ting Kau Bridge, Nam Wan Tunnel, Stonecutters Bridge, and the Eagle's Nest Tunnel. The 30km Ride from Tsim Sha Tsui to Tsing Yi provides picturesque views of Cheung Tsing Tunnel, Nam Wan Tunnel, and Stonecutters Bridge. The Men's and Women's Open Races and the UCI Class 1.1 Road Race promises thrilling cycling experiences against the backdrop of Victoria Harbour.

7. Pici Pasta Run 2023 Across Hong Kong Island

Beginning at Pici Kennedy Town, the run stretches 12 km along the Hong Kong harbourfront, before finishing at Pici Taikoo Place in Quarry Bay. This event is a show of creativity, teamwork, community spirit, and of course, delicious pasta!

The run starts in hourly waves between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM, depending on demand. Dress up with your team of four for a chance to win fantastic group prizes. Every finisher, seasoned or casual, receives Pici souvenirs, food, and a medal. Normal registration ends Oct. 18 and is priced at HK$350 per person. Each participant’s registration fee goes into supporting MindHK's crucial mental health work.

8. Shin Hing Steps Blok Party by Y2K in Sheung Wan

Get ready for the upcoming Shin Hing Steps Blok Party! Following the success of the inaugural event, Y2K has joined forces with even more local businesses to create an extraordinary day. The festivities promise a diverse array of unique offerings from neighbourhood shops, while sustainability takes centre stage with a clothes swap.

The heart of the event beats in its support for local artists and neighbourhood businesses. Every ticket purchase directly energizes the vibrant community in the surrounding neighbourhood, a true win-win! Each ticket includes one drink from La Cabane, one from Out of the Brew, and a snack each from Little Bao and Bedu.

9. Teapigs Free Tea Day in Central, Quarry Bay, Sheung Wan

Craving a caffeine-free energy boost? The teapigs tea truck is celebrating 17 years of teapigs, and over a decade in Hong Kong, by providing complimentary cups of their best-selling caffeine-free teas around town.

Find them at Central for a morning pick-me-up, in Quarry Bay for a lunch rush treat, or in Sheung Wan for an afternoon cuppa. Hurry, though, as the truck will only be at each location for a limited time, and the tea is free while supplies last. If you miss the truck, don't fret!
