Digital Art Fair Asia 2023 promises to be an extravaganza for new-age art and tech aficionados, boasting avant-garde digital art installations and strategic collaborations with industry forerunners in tech and the digital sphere. As the Digital Art Fair Asia 2023 unfolds, each zone offers attendees a distinct perspective on the multifaceted world of digital art, ensuring an immersive, informative, and inspirational journey for all.
A highlight of the fair, the Immersive Room unveils the digital art piece 'Quantum Transcendence' by 3D animation luminary, David Ariew. The space invites viewers into a luminous realm of meditation and reflection, where they may also capture the moment on their own devices. An expansion of this zone includes five distinct VR artworks by Ariew, allowing attendees to delve deeper into his immersive world.
Welcoming various esteemed galleries and platforms from across the globe, the Prestige Zone will be spotlighting two artists of the year: Botto and Claire Silver. Their innovative approach to AI art challenges conventional perspectives, and together, they propel the conversation on the limitless potential of the medium.
Steering its focus towards the next generation of digital artists, the Pioneer Zone is a treasure trove of fresh talent. A rigorous selection process led by a panel of Web 3.0 connoisseurs shortlisted five artists for the Pioneer Prize 2023, launched for the first time this year by the Digital Art Foundation. The recipient will gain invaluable opportunities, such as a residency, mentorship, and exposure through exhibitions.
The curated list includes names like Fuat Degirmenci, Nygilia McClain, and others, who will be showcased, paving the way for the winner's announcement at the fair on Oct. 20.
Marrying advanced immersive tech with digital artistry, the Virtual Zone is a gateway to alternate realities. Curator Herman Rahman spearheads 'DATASETS', a compilation spotlighting generative and AI art. This zone underscores the transformative potential of data, as renowned artists exhibit their creations that draw from vast reservoirs of information.
Set to span the entire duration of the fair, the Inspire Zone is a hub for enlightenment and discourse. The Inspire Series congregates a global cohort of artists, innovators, and creatives to explore the nuances of digital art and Web 3.0 tech.
How to Get to Digital Art Fair Asia 2023
Held at the K11 Art and Cultural Centre Kunsthalle at K11 Musea, visitors can access the shopping complex from underground via Exit E of the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station or Exit J1 and J2 of the East Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station.
Visitors can also opt for the green minibus operating in the direction of Victoria Dockside and Salisbury Road, which includes routes - 6X, 8, 8S, and 606S. Those who wish to take the bus can find their right option from the K11 Musea site.
