Berlin’s Worldwide HÖR Radio Unveils Updated Site and Subscription Today

New HOR Radio Site and Subscription Launches Today header

Independent online radio platform HÖR has found a new virtual station to beam off their shows from.

Launching today, the new HÖR website will broadcast live and archive performances, alongside a bundle of extra features for fans who join in on their subscription service. Paid members to the site can access tracklists for shows, hit favourite on sets or tracks, chat to other music aficionados on moderated live chats, as well as access a full library of previous performances.

Though not at all discernable from the clinical tiled backdrop that looks closer to the inside of a spaceship than a studio, the recording site lies in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Since its advent the hotseat has hosted electronic music behemoths like Nina Kraviz and Ellen Allien, along with rising techno stars like VTSS, Brutalismus 3000, Fjaak and more.

The collective was founded in 2019 by Tel Aviv-based duo TV.OUT and shot to prominence as a livestream for socially distanced, at-home raves during the era of shuttered clubs amidst the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Introduction of the new membership model comes as the attempt to set up “a more sustainable revenue system by developing a fair-share model that introduces a new income stream for artists and keeps the operation up and running,” says the platform.

The new face of the site will unmask and go live today, with early registrants gaining access and front-row privileges to the subscription plan. Click here to check out the official site in all its pimped-out glory, and unlock the added functionalities by signing up.
