JNTO KL Invites You to Tour Three Regions in Japan!
Ever dreamt of exploring the land of the rising sun? This is your chance to make that dream a reality! The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) Kuala Lumpur Office is currently accepting applicants for three sponsored trips to Tohoku, Kyushu, and Tokai regions.
Part of the second wave of the #AJapanForYou campaign, Create Your Joyful Japan is a Monitor Tour that aims to boost tourism in the forementioned regions while allowing participants to design their personal dream tours and enjoy the sights and cultural features the country has to offer.
What to expect
JNTO is looking to collaborate with one pair for each region and is offering to cover round-trip economy flights (from KLIA/KLIA2), accommodation for 5 nights, public transportation fees, and overseas travel insurance. Other travel expenses such as for food, shopping, and attraction ticket fees will be shouldered by participants.
Aspiring travelers are also required to plan and arrange their own trips and provide photos and videos of their trip to be shared on JNTO’s social media platforms.
Featured regions
The Tohoku region is located north of Japan’s largest island, Honshu, and is made up of six prefectures known for its sprawling landscapes, rustic hot springs, and rich traditions.
Meanwhile, Kyushu comprises of seven prefectures and boasts Japan’s most beautiful beaches, delicious Tonkotsu ramen, and is home to the country’s most active volcano.
A region of ancient heritage and stunning nature sights, the Tokai region is where you can find one of the world’s most iconic peaks, Mt. Fuji, and is encompassed by five prefectures filled with world-renowned destinations.
How to apply
Applications are now open and can be submitted online until June 30 (Tohoku), July 14 (Kyushu) and August 18 (Tokai). Applicants are required to submit a detailed 2–3-day itinerary for the trip, express their interest as collaborators, and provide information on their travel companions and social media handles.
