Heads up, Avatar fans! Get ready to immerse yourself in the “gaang’s” adventure, as the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) is set to stage “Avatar: The Last Airbender in Concert” in Kuala Lumpur soon!

To be held at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas Music Hall on Sept. 14, the concert will bring Aang, Katara, Toph, Sokka, and Zuko’s journey to life with a curated live orchestra. The orchestra will be playing the series’ original musical score by Emmy Award-winning composer Jeremy Zuckerman, synchronized to a special two-hour recap of the series’ most iconic scenes.

The concert will be conducted by Gerard Salonga, resident conductor of the MPO and formerly the music director of the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra in the Philippines.

Tickets to the concert are now available via MPO’s website, with prices ranging from RM278 to RM488. There are also suite seats available for RM548 and RM598 per seat, inclusive of light refreshments.

This makes Malaysia the first and only stop of “Avatar: The Last Airbender in Concert” outside of the United States and the United Kingdom.

Calling all cyclists in Kuala Lumpur! 

The OCBC Cycle Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s premier annual cycling event, is coming back on Apr. 27, 2025, at the Dataran Merdeka (Independence Square), in Kuala Lumpur. 

For this year, the cycle will feature its longest ride in the city center ever – an exhilarating 50 km race that will take cyclists on a ride past iconic landmarks such as the Pavilion KL, Petronas Twin Towers (KLCC), Istana Selangor, Masjid Negara, KTM Building, and Bank Negara in two laps. 

It’s an additional 8 km more than its previous edition. It’s said to be the most challenging for the anticipated 3,000 riders, with more than 2,000 pre-registering before the event’s official launch. 

For a more relaxed ride, a 25 km race is available, offering cyclists a chance to enjoy the landmarks in one single lap. Apart from the individual races, cyclists can also form teams of 10 people for the 50 km KL Mayor’s Ride. Children aged 3 to 9 can also join the Kids’ Push Bike Category, making the entire event something everyone can enjoy!

The OCBC Cycle KL 2025 will have prizes for three bicycle types for adults – mountain, road, and folding bikes – for both men and women. All participants will also receive a medal and a digital certificate, along with free items from sponsors.

Registration for the OCBC Cycle KL 2025 is open until Mar. 23, 2025! You can register here.

Registration fees are priced from RM60 (Kids Push Bike), RM75 (Individual-25km, Bib and Medal), RM95 (Individual 25-km, Bib, Medal and T-Shirt), RM95 (Individual-50km, Bib and Medal), RM130 (Individual 50km-Bib, Medal, and T-Shirt), and RM1,200 (Team of 10, Bib, Medal and Jersey). 

Participants can collect their Race Packs from Apr. 25 to 26, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 7 PM. The exact venue has not been announced as of writing.

Hong Kong Icon Liza Wang Set to Dazzle in First KL Concert This June

One of Hong Kong’s living legends is set to perform in Malaysia this June!

Singer and television personality, Liza Wang, also known as Ah Jie, is set to hold her “Liza Wang: A Diva In Concert” show on June 21, 8 PM at the Mega Star Arena at Sungei Wang Plaza in Bukit Bintang. The concert marks her first solo concert in Kuala Lumpur and will showcase the diva's decades-long career through unforgettable performances that will surely excite her fans.

Liza kicked off her tour with a two-night spectacle at the Hong Kong Coliseum last November which was sold-out and well-received by fans. In a post by the concert organizer, Star Fortress, the singer expressed her excitement for the upcoming show in KL, which coincides with the celebration of Parents’ Day.

“For me, the meaning of family is irreplaceable. Every show reminds me of my parents' teachings and support. This concert is specially selected around Parents' Day, and I hope it will be a special gift for all parents and fans present,” she said.

Known as “big sister” in the Hong Kong entertainment scene, Liza Wang’s career has spanned four decades since 1967. The diva is a multi-talented artist and is mainly known as a Cantonese Opera singer. She’s the Chairman of the Chinese Artists Association of Hong Kong and Barwo, the city’s only non-profit Cantonese opera organization supporting Cantonese opera artists.

The Cantopop singer was last seen in Malaysia when she performed in the Arena of Stars in Resorts World Genting in 2023. She’s also reported to perform some of her biggest hits at the concert including "A Thousand Mountains of Ten Thousand Rivers,” “A Dream of Spring in Beijing,” and "Make My Day,” which is the theme song specially made for the tour.

Pop-Rock Band 'The Click Five' to Bring 2025 Tour to Malaysia

Are these lines familiar: "Jenny, you’ve got me on my knees. Jenny, it’s killin’ me.”?

Get ready to get transported back to the early 2000s, as American pop-rock band "The Click Five" is making their return to Malaysia after 17 years.

Popular for their songs “Jenny,” “Empty,” and “Just the Girl,” with their matching outfits reminiscent of the Beatles and the Strokes, The Click Five are reuniting for their “The Click 2025 Tour” in Asia.

The band announced the news on their social media page, stating that the tour was not in their plans for 2025, but since the opportunity presented itself, they had to take it. “These countries have always felt like a second home for us, and we genuinely cannot wait to see you all again this year,” the post said.

Two members, Ben and Joey, will not be joining the Asia leg of the tour due to scheduling conflicts.

The Click Five in Malaysia 2025

The Click 2025” Asia Tour will start in Kuala Lumpur on May 4, 2025, at The Exchange Hall. Tickets are priced from RM288 (General Admission), RM388 (PGA), and RM888 (VIP), and will be available starting Jan. 23, 2025, at 10 AM on the official Banyak Bagus Entertainment website.

VIP ticket holders will enjoy the following perks: priority entry and participation in a group photo session with the band. Ready for a “First Class” experience, 82DE? We hope you are because rising K-Pop boy group 82MAJOR is set to hold their very first fan meeting in Kuala Lumpur, “X-82!”

The group’s fan meeting will take place on Feb. 16, 82MAJOR announced via a social media post. Aside from Kuala Lumpur, the fan meet will also be held in Bangkok on Feb. 9.

As of this writing, there are no further details yet about the show, including its venue and ticket prices. However, fans can look forward to updates and more information about the fan meeting via organizer iMe Malaysia’s social media pages.

“This is our very first time in Malaysia, so it’s a special moment for us. And we can’t wait to meet every single one of you guys,” 82MAJOR said in a greeting video posted on iMe Malaysia’s Instagram page.

82MAJOR’s fan meeting tour follows the release of their second mini album, “X-82,” last October, which features the title track “Stuck.”

Composed of members Seongil, Yechan, Seongmo, Seongbin, Seokjoon, and Dogyun, 82MAJOR made their debut in October 2023 with the single album, “On.” The group is also known for their hip-hop sound, with releases such as “Choke” and “First Class.”

The OG oppa and Hallyu legend, Rain, is coming to Malaysia soon!

As part of his “Still Raining” tour, the “Rainism” hitmaker is set to dazzle the Arena of Stars at Resorts World Genting on Feb. 8.

At the concert, fans will be taken on a journey into Rain’s over 20 years of career. Fans can also expect a mesmerizing show from the K-Pop star, featuring performances of his hit tracks and covers of popular songs by other artists, including award-winning singer-songwriter Bruno Mars.

Tickets to the concert will be available to the public starting Jan. 10 via Resorts World Genting’s website, with prices ranging from RM398 to RM1,298. Meanwhile, Genting Rewards Members can get early access and discounted prices before the public selling date.

Prior to the Malaysia stop, the Hallyu icon also staged the tour in Seoul, South Korea, and Hong Kong last year. He is also set to visit Kaohsiung on Feb. 15 as part of the concert tour.

Rain made his debut as a K-Pop artist in 2002 with his debut album, “Bad Guy,” which saw immense commercial success. In 2003, he made his acting debut with the TV series, “Sang Doo! Let's Go To School,” and reached fame through his works in the 2004 rom-com series “Full House” and the 2009 martial arts film “Ninja Assassin.”

Get battle-ready, “Solo Leveling” fans! Starting this January, the beloved South Korean web novel and anime series, in collaboration with ACO Media, is holding its first-ever immersive exhibition in Malaysia.

Happening from Jan. 11 to Mar. 11 at the Pavilion Bukit Jalil, the “Solo Leveling Experience” exhibition will offer a slew of activities and special surprises for the series’ fans.

At the exhibit, fans will be transported to the epic world of the portal fantasy anime series. One of the highlights includes an immersive photo zone, where fans can take snaps with intricate battle backdrops from the series or pose with the protagonist, Sung Jin-woo, and the fearsome dungeon bosses.

The experience will also offer a special menu, courtesy of the AcoLab Cafe. The menu includes themed dishes inspired by the anime show’s characters, such as Jinwoo’s Level Up Burger and Double Dungeon Black Rice. There are also beverages and desserts that fans will surely enjoy, including the Spicy Mango Soda and the Igris Molted Lava Cake.

Visitors can also choose from over 150 event-exclusive merchandise items, which range from limited-edition collectibles to accessories.

Tickets to the experience are now available via Ticket2U, with packages priced at RM25, RM50, and RM80. Each package comes with various fan benefits, including a souvenir card, a free merch item, and a single admission ticket.
