When we say it’s tee time, we don’t mean the drink but the sport that gets clubs swinging.
Golf is a good exercise (assuming you walk and don’t always use the carts!) that requires you to be under the sun and outside with nature. It also promotes focus and discipline as you try to hit the ball cleanly while staying in good form. With its many benefits, you might be curious to start this sport. To help you, we’ve listed the best courses in Selangor you can visit.
Saujana Golf & Country Club
Set in a former palm oil plantation, Saujana Golf & Country Club is home to two internationally recognized golf facilities designed by American golf course architect Ronald Fream. The Palm Course (also known as The Cobra) and the Bunga Raya Course (also known as The Crocodile) have hosted professional golf tours, such as the Malaysian Open, the 2002 World Amateur Golf Team Championships, and the Kosaido Malaysian Ladies Open.
Both courses have 36 holes, with 18 holes each, which are open from 6:30 AM to 9 PM. There’s also a driving range and putting green for practicing your swings within the area. For more information, visit their website.

It features a total of 27 holes in three nine-hole loops, namely the 3,141-metre President, 3,230-metre Sultan, and 3,214-metre Alam Shah. The course is open from 7 AM to 10 PM, giving it the name “Home of Night Golfing” for being the first golf course in the country to be lit for night play.

Kota Permai Golf & Country Club
Whether you’re a newbie or not, the 6,396-metre award-winning golf course of Kota Permai Golf & Country Club won’t disappoint. Designed by golf architect Ross Watson, it features an 18-hole course that’s considered as one of the best in Asia. There are motorised carts and buggies to help you around the course, along with caddies who can either guide you or give you a no-nonsense approach.
The club also offers a 60-bay, two-tier driving range and golf academy to give new and seasoned golfers a space to practice their swing and correct their posture. The range is open to the public, but you’ll get better rates if you sign up as a member. A practice area with a putting green, chipping area, and bunker is also available. Visit their website for more details on their course layouts, rates, and golf academy.
