TurboJet Increases Night Sailings For Shun Tak HK & Outer Harbour Terminal

Ferry operator TurboJET has announced that the frequency of nighttime sailings between Hong Kong and the Macau Peninsula will go up starting today (Feb. 16). This decision comes as Macau tourism authorities have recorded a daily average of 16,000 visitors inbound from Hong Kong.

The new schedule will include three round trips by sea between the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal on the Macau Peninsula and the Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal in Sheung Wan in Hong Kong. The last outbound trip to Hong Kong will set out at 11:59PM, with the one to Macau to set sail at 10:30PM.

This increase in ferry frequency follows TurboJET's decision to jumpstart sailings between the Macau Peninsula and Hong Kong’s Sheung Wan on Jan. 19 earlier this year, several days before the Lunar New Year holidays.

With the increasing of ferry frequency and joint-travel packages between Hong Kong and Macau, the two SARs hope to attract more tourists to their cities.
