Macao Arts Festival Returns for Its 33rd Year on April 28 to May 28

The pandemic may have forced the Macao Arts Festival (MAF) to shut down its live events for three years, but the great news is that it’s making a comeback for its 33rd year with exciting in-person activities that will satiate your love for the arts.
Presented by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the forthcoming festival will take place from April 28 to May 28 at different event centres, including the Macau Museum of Art, Sands Theatre, Iao Hon Market Park, and Black Box Theatre.

The multi-cultural event will commence with a peacock contemporary dance performance called “Rite of Spring” and a Cantonese-themed theatre show titled “I Am a Moon.”
For art lovers, look forward to renowned artist Fang Lijun’s “The Light of Dust” exhibition, featuring bald figures that capture the “shared pains and feelings of the present time and life in a transcendental manner.”
Tickets start at MOP80 and will be available for purchase through this link on Sunday, March 26 at 10 AM. For more information, click here.
