Converge Is the Fastest ISP in PH in 2023 Says Ookla

It’s the beginning of a new era for Converge, one of the leading fiber internet providers in the Philippines, as the company has been crowned as the “Fastest Internet Service Provider (ISP) in the Philippines” by global broadband speed test Ookla.

In the recently held “Ookla Speedtest Awards,” Converge was hailed the fastest ISP in the country for the third and fourth quarter of 2023, along with several other awards, such as “Best Internet Video Experience,” “Best Internet Gaming Experience,” and “Top-Rated Internet in the Philippines.”

The ISP earned a total 123.18 speed score, calculated using download and upload speed value. In terms of video and gaming experience, the company had a video score of 86.58 and a game score of 88.27.

PLDT Home Fiber came in a close second with an overall speed score of 119.98, while Globe came in third with an 88.50 mark. Last year, PLDT’s Smart was also crowned as the “Best Mobile Network” for the first and second quarter of 2023.

Commenting on the awards, Converge CEO and co-founder Dennis Anthony Uy said in a press release, “We are glad to be recognized by Ookla for this collective hard work that ultimately led us to a clean sweep of their top awards including the ‘Fastest Internet Service Provider’."

Converge’s achievement ends major network company PLDT’s reign as the fastest ISP for five straight years.
