These Looks Prove That Miss U Singapore Carissa Yap Can Rock Any Outfit

On Oct. 17, then 22-year-old Carissa Yap was crowned as Singapore’s Miss Universe 2022 at Alcove at Caldwell House – CHIJMES in Singapore’s central business district. She slayed in a yellow sequined evening gown and impressed the judges with her “X-factor, confidence, and intelligence” during the question and answer segment.

The National University of Singapore (NUS) business undergraduate beat nine other finalists and succeeded Miss Universe Singapore 2021 Nandita Banna who made it to the global pageant’s semi-finals, which is a first for the city-state since 1987. With how confidently beautiful she is, we checked out her Instagram and saw how she rocked these outfits!

The Best Dress-ed

“Stand tall. Dream big. Reach for the stars,” her caption reads. True enough, we’re seeing here how Carissa confidently stands in front of the camera while wearing this fantastic dress by Italian luxury fashion house Moschino. What’s more, we’re also loving her new full fringe.

The Girl Boss

Do we need to say more? Carissa donning a power suit from Moschino along with her Miss Universe crown during a photoshoot just screams girl boss to us. The beauty queen said the suit made her feel “unstoppable” and we bet she’ll do great when she competes next year!

Clean and Green

While we think she already has a nice figure, she shared in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar that she’ll be starting her gym sessions soon to ramp up her fitness “not just physically [but] mentally as well.” To be honest, we’re excited to see this ramped up version of her!

Like the rest of us, Carissa was trapped at home during the circuit breaker measures, but that didn’t mean she no longer dressed up! In one of her posts, she sported a crop top with thin fabric sleeves and denim shorts to complete her all-white casual outfit, which we think suits her well. If you prefer the same style but in blue, she can rock that too. No biggie.
