Great news for Disney fans in Singapore! You may now experience a “magical cruise vacation” as the Disney Cruise Line and Singapore Tourism Board (STB) joined hands to make this maiden voyage a reality.

Get ready to meet and greet some of Disney’s beloved characters, like Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse, the Disney princesses, Marvel superheroes, and more.

The cruise ship can carry approximately 6,000 passengers and around 2,300 crew members. As expected, it will provide guests with unique Disney experiences, from entertainment to luxurious dining options and exceptional guest services for all ages.

The Disney Cruise Line is one of the largest cruise ships in the world and will sail in Singapore in 2025. It also has among the lowest emission fuels in the cruise ship industry because it uses green methanol as its primary fuel source.

The announcement was made by Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro and Singapore’s Minister for Transport and Minister-in-Charge of Trade Relations S. Iswaran via a press release issued on March 29.

“Disney Cruise Line is currently undergoing an ambitious expansion with new ships and new destinations around the world. We are incredibly excited to make Singapore the home port to our seventh-launched ship, which will sail from here year-round starting in 2025,” D’Amaro said.

STB Chief Executive Keith Tan described the partnership as “an important milestone” as the Disney cruise ship will serve as an attraction to boost the tourism sector of the city-state moving forward.

Apart from its positive impact on the tourism sector, the arrival of the Disney Cruise Line ship in the Lion City could potentially increase the demand for port and ship-related services as well as on-ground spending in the lifestyle and hospitality industries.
