Following its soft opening last May, Singapore’s Bird Paradise has finally made its grand opening at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, featuring more attractions that allow visitors to witness the wonders of avian wildlife.

The grand launch was held yesterday, Nov. 15, and was officiated by Lawrence Wong, Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance. Over 1,000 guests visited the new bird park, where a “giant egg” installation was unveiled.

Bird Paradise also launched new immersive experiences to enrich visitors’ knowledge about avian wildlife. This includes the Breeding and Research Centre, where parkgoers will get to witness how the birds are taken care of and hatched. There’s also Glamping with the Penguins, a glamping experience where guests can stay at the Ocean Network Express Penguin Cove in bell tents and marvel at the penguin exhibit.

To celebrate the opening, Bird Paradise also unveiled a special commemorative stamp and postcard collection, made in collaboration with SingPost. Some of the stamps were printed with designs featuring some of the most threatened species present in the park, including the Philippine Eagle, the Negros Bleeding-Heart Dove, and the Knobbed Hornbill. You can purchase them here.
