Disney fans in Singapore are in for a treat this holiday season, as Jewel Changi Airport is set to bring the magic with their first-ever Disney Cruise Line-inspired pop-up, “The Gift of Disney Cruise Line at Jewel.”
Set to grace Jewel Changi from Nov. 8, 2024 to Jan. 2, 2025, the pop-up will feature festive displays and interactive installations inspired by the themed areas of theDisney Adventure cruise.
For those who didn’t know, the Disney Adventure will set sail in Singapore beginning next year, featuring seven themed areas designed after iconic Disney shows “Big Hero 6,” “Moana, “Toy Story,” and “Finding Nemo,” among others.

The pop-up will be set up at the airport’s Canopy Park and will include several themed attractions. One of the highlights includes the “Hedge Maze,” a magical garden with Mickey Mouse-shaped topiaries and a life-sized Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey statue.
There’s also the “Petal Garden,” inspired by Disney Adventure’s top deck featuring a spectacular four-meter replica of the iconic Disney Cruise Line’s ship funnel, and the “Foggy Bowls,” where guests can encounter an installation of “Big Hero 6’s” beloved healthcare companion Baymax.

In celebration of its launch, Canopy Park’s visitors can get a chance to win a four-day, three-night cruise vacation aboard the Disney Adventure by searching for the seven thematic medallion stamps across the pop-up. To top it off, visitors on Nov. 16 and 17 dressed in outfits inspired by their favorite Disney, Pixar, or Marvel characters will enjoy free admission to Canopy Park.
All guests will also receive a complimentary Captain Mickey Mouse-inspired head visor during their visit.

Sneakerheads, ready your wallets ‘cos Sneaker Con is heading back to Singapore!
Sneaker Con, the world’s leading sneaker show, is once again setting up shop in Singapore from February 22-23, 2025, at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre (Halls E & F). It is the regional edition of the renowned Sneaker Con, first held in New York City in 2009.
Already on its 3rd edition, Sneaker Con SEA has been a resounding success since its inaugural event in 2023, bringing sneakerheads and streetwear fans together to celebrate fashion, show off their heat and sneaks, and chase after coveted drops.
This year’s Sneaker Con SEA is one to look out for—with the organizers boasting jaw-dropping sneaker collections, exclusive drops, live customization sessions, fit checks, and “a community that lives and breathes street culture,”— definitely making themselves the main street culture event in Southeast Asia.
With over 200 vendors, visitors will be met with a selection of rare, limited-edition, and exclusive kicks, side-by-side with the latest streetwear drops, apparel, and accessories to round up the vibes.

American Post-Rock band, This Will Destroy You (TWDY), is coming to Singapore this April!
Presented by Asymmetry, the band is set to rock the house down with a special milestone show to celebrate their 20th anniversary — a decade after their last visit to the city-state. Jeremy Galindo, Johnnie McBryde, Nicholas Huft, and Ethan Billips will perform the entirety of their “S/T” album alongside some of their classic hits on Apr. 18 (7 PM) at Phil Studio.
Tickets go on sale on Feb. 6 at noon (local time) via Eventbrite and are priced at S$75 (Limited Early Bird), S$80 (Advance), and S$90 (Doors). As if the show itself isn’t exciting enough, local instrumental experimental band, 7nightsatsea, will be opening for the post-rock veterans.
Formed in 2004 in San Marcos, Texas, TWDY is a post-rock band known for their atmospheric instrumental pieces. The original lineup consisted of guitarists Jeremy Galindo and Christopher Royal King, bassist Raymond Brown, and drummer Andrew Miller.
The band has released a series of acclaimed albums including "Young Mountain" (2006), "S/T" (2008), and "Another Language" (2014), which entered the Billboard Heatseekers Album Chart at number seven. Their songs have also been featured in various Hollywood film soundtracks such as “Moneyball” (2011), “World War Z” (2013), and “Earth to Echo” (2014). Symmetry Entertainment brought the band to Singapore in 2013 where they played two sold-out shows at Home Club. They returned a couple of years later for another show at Zouk.
In August 2024, the band announced a change in their lineup on social media. Jeremy and Christopher decided to pursue their own creative endeavors but will continue to tour with the band with two distinct lineups under the same name. The forthcoming April show will feature Galindo's lineup.

Groundseesaw, Seoul-based exhibition production company, has unveiled three unique art exhibitions at Parkview Square in Singapore, featuring some of the masterpieces of artists Vincent Van Gogh, Gustav Klimt, and Claude Monet that began last Jan. 25, 2025.
These exhibitions are titled “Monet Inside,” “Gustav Klimt: Timeless Beauty,”and “Van Gogh Inside: Love, Vincent.”
In this 360-degree art exhibition, guests will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the worlds of Gogh, Klimt, and Monet, complemented by original background music and striking displays that will inspire you to find beauty around you.
The exhibit reinterprets the masterpieces of Claude Monet, the painter of light. This includes over 200 paragons that narrate his life, from his early beginnings in Paris to the grand success of his "Water Lilies."
Klimt’s creations, “The Kiss,” and “Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer” take center stage in this exhibition. The exhibition follows Gustav Klimt, the master of symbolism and golden artistry, and his journey as an artist and the radiant opulence of his “Golden Phase.”
Van Gogh’s brushstrokes come to life in this exhibition, reinterpreting his emotional and expressive masterpieces in vibrant projections. The exhibition follows Van Gogh’s journey from his earliest works in Nuenen to the brilliance of his “Starry Night” and “Sunflowers,” accompanied by 11 original orchestral soundtracks.
Each exhibit is 45 minutes long, with an additional 15 minutes allotted for highlights and other interactive experiences. Visitors are allowed to stay longer to take pictures, browse through the art shop, and enjoy the immersive experience to their liking.
Tickets are available online on the Fever app or on the events’ website. Tickets to the exhibits (sold separately) are priced at S$20 (Adult), S$14 (Concession), S$30 (VIP Adult), S$25 (VIP Concession), S$15 (Family Bundle),and
S$16 (Group Bundle)for residents.
For tourists, all tickets are priced higher, at S$26 (Adult), S$18 (Concession), S$39 (VIP Adult), S$33 (VIP Concession), S$20 (Family Bundle), and S$21 (Group Bundle).
