K-Pop Icon BoA to Kick Off Asia Live Tour in October
The “Queen of K-pop” is back with exciting Asia tour news, proving that she’s still indeed “No.1” in our hearts!
The South Korean popstar made the announcement for her “BoA LIVE TOUR: One’s Own” last Aug. 8 on her official Instagram handle. The regional tour is set to kick off on Oct. 12 and 13 at the Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul.
The singer will then drop by for one-night-only live shows in Jakarta (Oct. 26) at the Basketball Hall GBK Senayan, and Taipei (Nov. 23) at the NTU Sports Centre 1F, before heading over to Singapore (Nov. 30) for her first solo concert in the country at The Star Theatre.
It’s the first time since the 20th anniversary of her debut in March 2023 that the singer will hold a concert for her Jumping BoAs (official fandom name). According to Naver, she plans to captivate audiences with a variety of unique and memorable performances featuring some of her biggest hits.
Kwon Boa, more popularly known by her stage name “BoA” (a backronym for Beat of Angel) debuted as a solo artist in 2000 under South Korean mega label, SM Entertainment, and is a pioneer of the K-Pop genre.
BoA has released ten Korean albums, nine in Japanese, and one in English, and is recognized for spearheading the “Hallyu Wave” in Japan. She’s considered one of the most influential and prominent singers in South Korea.
Some of her most popular hits include, “Valenti,” “Only One,” and the undisputed “No.1,” which topped the list of K-Pop songs in a ranking by South Korea’s largest streaming service, Melon, in 2021. The artist is also the voice behind iconic openers and end-credit songs for popular anime series such as “Inuyasha” and “Fairy Tail.”
No further details on ticket sales or additional dates have been announced but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that we’ll be seeing our Queen BoA in other cities in Asia real soon!
Stay tuned to BoA's official Instagram for the latest news on her upcoming concert tour.
