All Aboard! The Straw Hat Pirates' adventures continue as Netflix confirms the second season of the live-action adaptation of “One Piece.” The announcement came through a video message from the creator of the hit anime series, Eiichiro Oda, delivered via a Transponder Snail.

In his message, Oda expresses heartfelt gratitude to dedicated fans, whether they have been long-standing supporters or newcomers to the series. He's thrilled to share the fantastic news that Netflix has officially greenlit the highly anticipated second season of “One Piece” in its live-action form.

Remarkably, just two weeks after its premiere, “One Piece” has become a Netflix sensation, amassing a staggering 37.8 million views and securing spots in the Top 10 lists of an impressive 93 countries, even ranking first in 46 of them. Additionally, the hashtag #onepiecenetflix has garnered an astounding 4 billion search impressions on TikTok alone.

Oda then kindly asks for everyone's patience as they embark on the scriptwriting process, which will take some time. The video concludes with an intriguing sketch of Chopper, hinting at the possible appearance of the beloved character in the next season.

The live-action adaptation of this hit anime series was brought to life in partnership with Shueisha and produced by Tomorrow Studios and Netflix. “One Piece” follows the thrilling escapades of the youthful pirate Monkey D. Luffy, portrayed by Iñaki Godoy in the live-action adaptation.
