From Mar. 6 to 8, 2026, ChangChui Creative Park lights up once again as People Festival makes its return to Bangkok, marking a new chapter for the event formerly known as the Beer People Festival!

Organized annually by Beer People (ประชาชนเบียร์), the gathering has quietly evolved beyond a traditional beer fest. This year’s edition leans into a wider drinking culture, spotlighting not only craft beer, but a growing lineup of local spirits, regional alcohol, natural wine, and community-made pours — taking over the tent spaces spread throughout the park.

The biggest change for this year is the organizers’ dropping the word “Beer” from the festival name, and it’s a clear reflection of what the festival has become: a celebration of Thailand’s craft scene, welcoming more makers, drinkers, creatives, and curious connoisseurs into the community.

Now called the People Festival, the three-day event mirrors how the local drinking culture is changing — less about finishing the bottle, more about the people behind it. Expect stories, origins, experiments, and flavors that go beyond the glass and into the world at People Festival!

Bangkok Design Week makes its return from Jan. 29 to Feb. 8, 2026, with “DESIGN S/O/S” as the festival’s central theme.

Now in its ninth edition, the city-wide festival will once again unfold in key creative districts across the city, such as Charoen Krung, Talat Noi, Phra Nakhon, Pak Khlong Talat, Yaowarat, Bang Pho, Phrom Phong, Hua Lamphong, Bang Lamphu-Khao San, and Phra Khanon-Bang Na, alongside more pop-up venues throughout Bangkok.

This year’s theme reframes design as a signal to act rather than a call for help, positioning design as a practical tool for addressing economic, social, and environmental challenges.

The concept is built around three pillars: Secure Domestic, which aims to strengthen the local market; Outreach Opportunities, focused on creating international collaborations; and Sustainable Future, exploring innovative paths towards long-term resilience.

The 2026 program continues the festival’s mission to spotlight contemporary Thaidesign, reinterpreting local materials, patterns, and techniques through modern approaches while embracing and championing a distinct national design identity on the global stage.

More than 350 programs and 200 design showcases are planned for the city-wide creative takeover, alongside talks, workshops, markets, performances, and projects that connect communities, culture, and businesses together.

Calling all UFO believers — and the extraterrestrial-curious. Pop culture is set to host the first-ever UFO-themed festival this February 2026 at the Khun Dan Prakarn Chon Dam in Nakhon Nayok.

Dubbed as the country’s first event of its kind, the festival aims to gather UFO enthusiasts, alien-watchers, and curious travelers for a weekend dedicated to all things otherworldly. Often described as a niche subject met with raised eyebrows, mockery, and skepticism, UFO culture has found a steady, renewed interest worldwide in recent years, fueled by speculation and pop culture.

Thailand’s own extraterrestrial scene has also been quietly growing. In Nakhon Sawan, Khao Kala — often dubbed the “Area 51 of Asia” — has long been a hotspot among UFO enthusiasts, with past reports claiming sightings and landings in the area. The previously held “Belief Fest” also drew believers and curious visitors alike.

The upcoming festival forms a part of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)’s 2026 tourism strategy, which focuses on higher-quality, value-led travel experiences for travelers. This includes its “Amazing 5 Economy” framework, with the UFO festival falling under its Sub-Culture Economy category. The agency has also set a target of three million baht for the year.

Set against the backdrop of Thailand’s longest concrete dam, the festival is said to feature UFO-themed activities, sci-fi aesthetics, programs, and immersive experiences that celebrate UFO lore and the search for life beyond Earth.

A festival...where you just…rest?

Introducing the Marshmallow Restival, a three-day celebration dedicated to “the art of rest,” happening from Jan. 30 to Feb. 1, 2026, at Abonzo Yama Mitsu in Chiang Rai, Thailand.

Set against the cool winter air, rolling mountain views, and wide-open skies that are painted with pastel sunsets, the open-air festival blends art, music, nature, and inspiration into a space designed for pause, relaxation, and quiet joys. Here, guests are invited to unwind, slow down, and reconnect with fellow attendees as they enjoy a curated selection of performances, workshops, and activities.

Sonically, guests can expect a variety of genres, from pop, lounge, symphony orchestra, and contemporary music from bands like P.O.P, Friday, and ETC. The Marshmallow Symphony Orchestra is also set to perform at the restival, creating an immersive soundscape that perfectly complements the vibes at Abonzo Yama Mitsu.

Apart from the music, guests can also enjoy “The Art of Rest” through a series of workshops — from Wine Tasting by French sommelier Frédéric Debono, Tea Cupping by Sawanbondin Tea House, Coffee Cupping by Abonzo Coffee, The Art of Perfume (Scent of Rest) from Artepolé and Sirodom, Postcard Writing and Calligraphy from Ki Bangkok, Photography with Tul Hiranyalawan, A Highland Cocktail Experience with Jim on The Rocks, and Bookshop on The Mountain by Passport Bookshop.

Tickets are now available via Ticketmelon. Tickets are priced from THB1,990 (Marshmallow Solo), THB3,580 (Marshmallow Duo, 2 tickets), and THB12,490 (Marshmallow VIP, 4 tickets). All tickets are only for entrance to the event, excluding food and beverages. Marshmallow VIP ticketholders have inclusions such as reserved parking, four reserved seats in the VIP zone, one bottle of red wine, and a complimentary snack. Walk-in tickets will be available on the days of the festivals, priced at THB2,490 for one person.
