Beyond the sound guaranteed by the BCR sound system, the party also showcases immersive lighting and visuals from LJ: Human Spectrum and visual artists Wasawat Somno, Sahapon Chootinan, and Pasuth, transforming the venue into a multi-sensory playground. The production is designed to mirror BCR’s identity that is bold, collaborative, and community-first.

Bangkok Art Biennale Announces 2026 Edition Details with a Spiritual Edge

11Photo by Bangkok Art Biennale/Website

Bangkok is preparing to transform itself once again. The Bangkok Art Biennale 2026 has officially announced its return, and this fifth edition promises to be its most spiritually charged and conceptually daring yet. Running from Oct. 29, 2026 to Feb. 28, 2027, the Biennale will unfold across the city’s sacred temples, civic institutions, and urban landmarks, inviting audiences into a dialogue between light and darkness, desire and transcendence.

The theme, “Angels and Mara,” may have drawn from Bangkok’s full ceremonial name, Krung Thep, the “City of Angels,” and the Buddhist figure Mara, who represents temptation, fear, and mortality. It’s a duality that resonates far beyond religious symbolism, touching on the psychological and political tensions of our time.

Visitors will encounter installations and performances in temples or heritage sites

Visitors will encounter installations and performances in temples or heritage sites like Wat Arun, Wat Pho, and Wat Prayoon, as well as in Bangkok’s leading cultural institutions, including the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC), Museum Siam, the National Museum Bangkok, and the National Gallery of Thailand. The city’s newest mixed-use development, One Bangkok, will also serve as a contemporary counterpoint to the historic sites.

The first wave of participating artists includes a compelling mix of international and Thai voices. American conceptualist Mel Chin, Japanese iconoclast Yasumasa Morimura, and Chinese provocateurs Sun Yuan & Peng Yu are among the global names confirmed. Thai artists such as Manit Sriwanichpoom, Mary Pakinee, Kornkarn Rungsawang, and Teerapon Sisung will bring local nuance and urgency to the Biennale’s spiritual inquiry. Their works are expected to challenge, comfort, and provoke — sometimes all at once.

Bangkok Art Biennale Announces 2024

With its ambitious theme and diverse first-wave lineup, Bangkok Art Biennale 2026 will be a citywide meditation on what it means to live, desire, and believe in an increasingly fractured world.

Visit the Bangkok Art Biennale’s official website to check out the first 15 revealed artists, while you can follow their Instagram and Facebook for more announcements to come.

There’s something quietly magnetic about Thai beauty products. Maybe it’s the way they blend ancient herbal wisdom with sleek, modern formulations. Or maybe it’s the fact that they’re finally stepping into the global spotlight, and COSMEX 2025 is rolling out the red carpet.

From Nov. 4 to 6, 2025, Bangkok’s Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) will host COSMEX 2025, ASEAN’s most comprehensive beauty and well-being trade event. With over 250 exhibitors from 20 countries and more than 25,000 expected visitors, this is where the future of beauty gets built.

The show is a goldmine for businesses looking to expand their product portfolios. Whether you’re a boutique brand searching for a reliable OEM partner, a distributor scouting trend-forward finished goods, or an aesthetic center dreaming of launching your own skincare line, COSMEX has the goods.

The event is organized into five dynamic exhibit zones: OEM Services for full-spectrum product development; Finished Products for retailers and wholesalers; Packaging & Machinery showcasing automation and sustainable design; Beauty Devices offering clinical-grade innovation; and Halal Cosmetics connecting ethical sourcing with global standards. Each zone is curated to help brands scale, differentiate, and meet the demands of today’s conscious consumers.

And it’s not just about the booths. COSMEX The Secret Chat, a series of seminars and workshops, will dive into trends, techniques, and insights that matter to today’s beauty entrepreneurs.

Co-located with in-cosmetics Asia, the region’s leading personal care ingredient event, COSMEX 2025 is a launchpad for the next wave of beauty innovation.
