Asia’s 50 Best Bars Unveils 51-100 List Ahead of Awarding Ceremony

Prior to its live awards ceremony on July 16 in Hong Kong, Asia’s 50 Best Bars unveiled its most-awaited top 51-100 list for the fourth year running.
The list consists of bars from 19 different cities in Asia, voted for by its 265-member Academy, which consists of bar owners, seasoned drink writers, a gender-balanced group of bartenders, and cocktail enthusiasts.
The city with the most bars included is Singapore, with a total of eight entries on the list. This includes the Republic at the 57th spot, No Sleep Club at 60th, Stay Gold Flamingo at 63rd, The Elephant Room at 65th, Manhattan at 69th, Cat Bite Club at 77th, 28 HongKong Street at 78th, and Last Word at 93rd.
Meanwhile, four Hong Kong bars made it onto the list, led by Mizunara: The Library at the 66th place, Honky Tonks Tavern at the 67th, The Old Man at the 71st, and Tell Camellia at the 97th.
Bangkok also dominated the list with six bars, namely Tropic City at 62nd place, Opium at 73rd, Firefly at 83rd, Asia Today at 90th, The Bamboo Bar at 91st, and Dry Wave Cocktail Studio at 98th.
Making its debut on the 82nd spot on the list is the Southbank Cafe + Lounge in Muntinlupa City, Philippines, a Melbourne-inspired bar that serves “technique-heavy cocktails.”
Other bars included in the ranking are Kuala Lumpur’s Three X Co, Coley, and Junglebird; Penang’s Backdoor Bodega; Seoul’s Soko, Gong Gan, and Charles H; and Tokyo’s Tokyo Confidential, Folklore, Gold Bar, Bulgari Ginza Bar, and High Five.
