Hong Kong comedian Jason Strickland presents the fourth Laughter Lounge event at Michelin starred Chinese eatery, Duddell’s. The highly anticipated line-up also features some of Hong Kong’s favourite comics, including Bryan Bentley, Oli Dub, and Maitreyi Karanth.

The first comic listed is Bryan Bentley, a stand-up comedian who has been performing in Hong Kong for three years. He’s made people laugh from the Island to Kowloon with his impeccable comedic timing, making regular appearances at the Bar 109 open mic on Mondays, and hosting The Aftermath Open Mic weekly.

Next is Oli Dub, dubbed Hong Kong’s rising star in comedy. Hailing from the Philippines and Sri Lanka. Oli has made recent waves in the Hong Kong comedy scene, and it’s about time to find out why.

Also performing is Maitreyi Karanth, a ‘comedian’s comedian’, who started as an actor and producer, producing sold-out monthly’s like “Laugh Kwai Fong”. Having lived in the Middle-East and Hong Kong for more than half of her life, she’s collated a treasure trove of funny experiences for you to laugh at.

Jason will also be taking the mic, having been in the Hong Kong comedy industry for eight years, totalling 12 years of comedy experience. He’s best known for his charming on-stage persona that will have you uncontrollably belly-laughing, like you’re out with your ride-or-dies.

“It’s an iconic venue, it’s very for the arts, so it’s a great space to do it in, it’ll be electric” said Strickland “there’ll be happy hour all night, so you can get there from 6 o’clock up until eleven, and enjoy the show.”

“The level of the line-up is very seasoned. It’s a mixture of cultures, ages, sexes...and Duddell’s has always been one of the shows I love putting on just because the room is made for comedy. It’s hard to explain what that means, but it’s a great atmosphere.”

While the comedy show begins at 8:30 PM, you are encouraged to come early to eat and drink on the terrace (one of the best in Hong Kong), to get the night started right. Proof of a negative rapid antigen test taken within 24 hours of the event and a LeaveHomeSafe vaccine pass scan will both be required upon entry.

Tickets start at HK$250, including a free drink. Click here to buy tickets.
