This Innovative Edufarm-in-City Concept Promotes Vertical Farming

Presenting a delectable array of green delights, Malaysian agriculture technology company, Agroz Group Sdn Bhd, is embarking on a venture that introduces agricultural technology and advocates for more sustainable and cleaner vegetables gracing your dining table.

Going beyond the traditional expanse of farmland, Agroz is pioneering an Edufarm-in-City concept. The prime objective is to bring the marvels of nutrient-rich snacks within the easy reach of the masses. The centrepiece of this initiative is their vertical farm, a groundbreaking endeavour set to open its doors to the public in September. Spanning over a sprawling 8,000 square feet within AEON Alpha Angle, it stands as the largest indoor vertical farm in the country.

Driven by the principles of Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA), this innovative farming system not only bolsters food safety, security, and sustainability but also seamlessly integrates cutting-edge agricultural technology (AgTech). 

Starting September, the EduFarm will extend an open invitation to the public for weekend tours from 10 AM to 7 PM, with specialised weekday visits tailored for school groups. The aim is to unveil their expansive vertical farm and underscore the potential of cultivating vegetables in the midst of concrete jungles like Kuala Lumpur.

Within the realm of vertical farming, the benefits resonate far and wide. While it champions sustainability, it concurrently curtails the application of harmful chemicals on vegetables. Additionally, owing to its strategic urban location, it contributes to the reduction of carbon-emitting transportation.

Freshly harvested green bites find their way to eager consumers at AEON Alpha Angle and eight other AEON supermarkets found across the vibrant expanse of Klang Valley.
