Dive Into the Magical World of Studio Ghibli at MPO's Upcoming Concert
A whimsical journey awaits, as the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) is staging its “Symphonic Ghibli” concert in Kuala Lumpur!
Get ready to enter the dreamy worlds of Studio Ghibli films at this upcoming musical experience. To be held on Nov. 15 to 16 and Dec. 6 to 7, MPO’s upcoming concert will bring the magical tunes of popular animated films “Spirited Away,” “Kiki’s Delivery Service,” “My Neighbor Totoro,” “Howl’s Moving Castle,” “Princess Mononoke,” "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind," and “Castle in the Sky” to the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas stage in KLCC.
The shows will be helmed by MPO’s resident conductor Gerard Salonga and played by the orchestra’s talented ensemble.
As of this writing, tickets for the November shows are already sold out. Fret not, though, because the additional shows in December are still available.
You can buy tickets via MPO’s website, with prices ranging from RM198 to RM338. Suite slots are also available at RM398 and RM448 per seat, which come with complimentary light refreshments.
“Symphonic Ghibli” follows MPO’s “Avatar: The Last Airbender in Concert,” held last Sept. 14.
Prepare to bless your ears with Studio Ghibli soundtracks and keep your eyes peeled for more details by visiting MPO’s website or following them on Instagram.
