The future of pickup trucks is coming here. Following the successful launch in Malaysia last year, Tesla once again teased car enthusiasts with the arrival of their Cybertruck in the country.

In an Instagram post by Tesla Malaysia last April 5, they shared a clip featuring the model. Captioned, “Stay Tuned,” the post sent waves of excitement throughout the car community, with some even hoping for a roadshow.

According to the website, Cybertruck is “built for any planet” as they are durable and rugged enough to go anywhere. With the exteriors made from an ultra-hard stainless-steel exoskeleton, the pickup truck is expected to have fewer dents and damage and to be bulletproof. It uses armour glass, which is claimed to be shatter-resistant.

On the insides, it has ample space and is packed with advanced technology features. The front has an 18.5 infinity touch screen, while there is a 9.4” touchscreen in the back for improved entertainment during the long rides.

For adventure seekers, the model also has a light bar installation option that can illuminate paths for up to 480 meters. The Cybertruck is the first Tesla to use an 800V architecture for its high-voltage battery system and a 48-volt low-voltage electrical system. It can travel up to 547 km on a single charge and can recover up to 235 km of range with 15-minute supercharging.

As of writing, no further details about its arrival and availability in the country have been released yet. Follow Tesla Malaysia’s Instagram for more updates.
