Discover an Urban Oasis at the Newly Opened Hotel Indigo in Kuala Lumpur
After the opening of its InterContinental Hotel in Bangkok, leading hospitality company IHG Hotels and Resorts has added a new hotel to its roster with the launch of Hotel Indigo in Malaysia.
The newly opened Hotel Indigo Kuala Lumpur on the Park marks the company’s first hotel in Malaysia. It also celebrates the hotel’s 150th location globally.
Putting sustainability at the fore, Hotel Indigo Kuala Lumpur on the Park features a design that reflects an urban oasis with its lobby’s living vertical garden, staircases made from repurposed old railway sleepers and reinforcement steel bars, and a large installation made of plastic bottles, among others.
The 180-room hotel also has cultural nuances, as seen from designs and artworks reminiscent of Malaysia’s rich history and traditions sprawled across the whole space. This includes hand-painted Peranakan tiles, rattan furniture, and pages from the nostalgic Chinese calendar that line the hotel's wardrobes.
The hotel also boasts lavish amenities, which include a 24-hour fitness centre and an outdoor pool by the rooftop, three flexible event spaces, and an abundant library located in the lobby.
Guests can also enjoy various dining options, such as the Wok Star and The Silver Monkey, which offer a range of local and international fares.
