1. The Shakespearean Poetry Slam
"To slam or to open mic? That is the question!" This Shakespearean Poetry Slam by Word Forward this Thursday night will delight fans of the late playwright and poet, considered by many as the greatest writer in English for his important works like "King Lear," "Hamlet," "Romeo and Juliet," and "Much Ado About Nothing," among many others. Those who join the event may choose to recite their own verse or act a scene from any of Shakespeare's works, with the winners to be decided by the crowd and select judges. 2. My Little 90's Job Adventure
This month-long event by Kiztopia is the perfect adventure for your child to learn about a wide range of professions. It features eight playrooms to simulate various roles like a chef, storekeeper, animal clinic assistant, and so much more. It will also teach them the concept of earning salaries as they explore each profession and the work it entails. This activity is suitable for children aged four to eight years old, with each roleplay lasting 15 to 20 minutes. Get tickets via Klook!

3. The Anemone Trail

Want an exciting nature activity to perk you up this Saturday? Kayakasia's Anemone Trail will have you rising early in search of the sandy anemone, a species of sea anemone that lives in shallow water, and other marine wonders such as colourful sea cucumbers and transparent shrimps. Although you'll be kayaking for over eight kilometres in Pulau Ubin, this activity is suitable for beginners and includes all the equipment you need, as well as a complimentary late breakfast. 4. Singapore Heritage Festival

Take a trip down memory lane along the Singapore River and the streets surrounding the Asian Civilisations Museum at this year's Singapore Heritage Festival. The event has a ton of meaningful activities in store for the public, such as storytelling sessions aboard a bumboat, a riverfront walking tour, a drama performance, beaded boat keychain-making, and other sessions that aim to enrich one's knowledge and appreciation of the city-state's heritage. 5. Singapore Pooram 2023
The annual Singapore Pooram returns bigger and better this year, as this event is its first post-pandemic. A celebration of the heritage of the city-state's Indian community, Singapore Pooram 2023 aims to be a colourful festival that puts on show Singapore's melting pot of cultures, collaborating with the Indian Heritage Centre and other cultural and linguistic groups for its overarching theme, "Unity in Diversity." The event will feature a five-hour percussion ensemble, a larger-than-life robotic elephant, a mega group song, a multicultural grand finale, and more. Get tickets here.

6. Shakespeare in the Park: A Midsummer Night's Dream
Another Shakespeare event! How didst we becometh so lucky? You have less than a week to catch the last days of romantic comedy "A Midsummer Night's Dream" by Shakespeare in the Park. Teeming with "mischief and magic," the story sees the hilarious chaos that Puck, the sprite and chief mischief-maker, creates as he pulls pranks on the Fairy Queen, four human lovers, and a weaver rehearsing for the duke's wedding. 7. ‘SIFA X: there is no future in nostalgia’
Centre 42, a non-profit art collective established in 2014, is part of the Singapore International Festival of Arts this year. Under "SIFA X: there is no future in nostalgia," Centre 42 showcases a series of performances, namely The Vault: Past Perfect, which involves works sourced from "practitioners' memories of theatre in the ‘90s," Studio, which comprises staged readings, and Headline Acts, an evening where writers present their brief dramatic works. 8. Ladies Morning Walk and Coffee Chitchat Session

You can't beat walking when it comes to clearing your mind, and with the scenic Gardens by the Bay as your backdrop, it'll surely lift your mood, too. This Ladies Morning Walk and Coffee Chitchat Session may just be what you need to start your day (and make new friends). In this activity, you begin your jaunt at the entrance of the Gardens and walk through the lush verdant scenery, where you can take photos or bask in the beauty of nature. Afterwards, you and your newfound walking-mates can go to a nearby café for some coffee and snacks. Reserve a spot here.

9. Uncorked: A Food & Wine Pairing
If you're passionate about food, you can't miss this fabulous food and wine pairing by restaurant and wine bar Ginett. This event, held only every month, will acquaint you with French wine, curated by the restaurant's F&B Operations Manager Alla Boldyreva, and will be joined by a special food pairing menu by Ginett's chef. The food and wine pairing menu will be changed every month to ensure guests experience variety. Make a reservation here.

10. Bagyi Aung Soe Exhibit
The late Burmese painter Bagyi Aung Soe is celebrated for being the trailblazer of modern art in Myanmar. A book on the artist, "Bagy Aung Soe (1920-1990)," was published with support from Pierre and Bolor Lorinet and the Centre Pimpidou and was just launched by the Gajah Gallery public last May 13. An exhibit of Aung Soe was simultaneously launched at the gallery, with about 50 works loaned from the personal collection of Jasdeep Sandhu, the gallery's founder. You can catch the exhibit in tribute of Aung Soe from Monday to Friday (11 AM-7 PM) and on a Saturday or Sunday (12 PM-6 PM).
